This uses the NTSC-K version of the game, more specifically with a .rvz extension (rather than a .iso extension). My attempt to recreate the settings used in BizHawk Dolphin Core: - Slot A: Nothing - GameCube Controllers: None - Wii Remote 1: Emulated Wii Remote (with Extension "None" and Attach MotionPlus unchecked) - Enable Custom RTC checked, with 1/1/2000 12:01:10 AM as the value - Fallback Region: NTSC-K - Language: Korean - Aspect Ratio: 16:9 - Enable Progressive Scan unchecked (in Graphics Settings -> Advanced)

Now faster than the Wipeoutjack7 TAS by about 23 frames when properly adjusted for comparisons.

This TAS is done on the Korean version of Wii Party, more specifically with a .rvz extension (rather than a .iso extension). Completes Papa's Donuteria Rank 5 in just under 11 minutes, optimising for the "ends input early" approach. I discovered new things towards the end of making this that rendered earlier efforts slightly sub-optimal, but I pushed forwards so that I'd have an end product ready for ASM 2024. I may return to this to optimise things further.

The disc is dated 2002-08-09 16:03:32. Optimising Windows XP lag and loading times seems to require brute force, which is infeasible to test on a large scale, especially when the TAS can desync when loading a savestate during disc reads. For this reason, I chose to limit my scope of testing somewhat.

Not submittable as it doesn't actually complete the full game's content, but a popular RTA category, and one that won't take me months of work to complete.

Reaches the compatibility score at frame 6416 - an improvement over the Pair Games WIP currently published on YouTube by 8 frames (mainly by changing the date/time, which it turns out is used for seeding the RNG.)
1 of the saved frames comes from pressing A+B on the title screen earlier, the others come from better RNG on the title screen and what not - depending on what the game chooses to generate, the loading times can vary quite a few frames.
It's very possible this can be improved further from a better date/time starting point, and also that this won't appear in the submitted Pair Games TAS since there's still the more RNG-heavy gamemodes after this to worry about. Might as well upload it here nonetheless.
