Spider-Man is a licensed action platforming game that was published by Acclaim for the Sega Genesis and SNES in 1995. It is based on the 1990s cartoon Spider-Man: The Animated Series and takes most of its character designs from there. The basic premise involves a group of villains from Spider-Man's rogues gallery breaking out of Ravenloft Asylum, with the Green Goblin, Doc Ock, and Venom among them. It's up to Spider-Man to beat these guys into submission before the city becomes trashed again.
