Best of ZZT is a compilation of user-made maps for ZZT, all combined into two large maps. ZZT itself is an adventure game created by Tim Sweeney that is known for its feature-rich and easy-to-use map editor. While it was initially criticized for its primitive graphics and sound even for the time, that allowed the game to be supported by as many IBM-compatible computers as possible and help grow one of the earliest game modding communities that is still active to this day.

In this run, Darkman425 plays the map "Royal Treasures" and skips all of the fluff to get right to the final boss in order to beat it in record time. To help with this, a pause bug that doubles movement speed and basically freezes everything else was heavily exploited.
