uhm.. I know this sounds stupid, but can anyone make/find a save file for this game after coompleted Dodongo Cavern, to mupen?
Simple. Play Guano's TAS (this one or the previous version) up to completing Dodongo's Cavern, and save state.

http://tas.monotoli.org/mov/oot/wip/lozoot-guanobowl-wiptas2-child.mkv the sync is pretty terrible but whatever. ~170MB, all the way from N64 logo to taking control as an adult. I ended up using 240 bitrate at 464x352

Much thanks. I will review that in detail when I can. Reminder: Dead Hand one-cycle K.O. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOl-5HjlRBw Graveyard to Shadow Temple entrance - 1 minute Shadow Temple up to Hover Boots - 1 minute Deathwarp here? Graveyard to Great Fairy - Great Fairy - 1.5 minutes Great Fairy to Forest Temple (with Minuet skip) - 2.5 minutes Forest Temple (all) - 10 minutes? Finish BA to get Light Arrow on B - ? Ganon's Castle to last input - 16.5 minutes + padding (you have no sword on B) Looks like every second will be needed to get this under two hours. Good luck. :)

Don't forget the bottle adventure, I'm still not sure if a specific amount of deku nuts is required for it to work (possible 18), but there is plenty in the FT espeacially since the giant plant drops 3 of them. This is just a direct copy and paste so some of it is probally wrong. 1. Deplete Deku Stick Supply to 0 2. Get fish in bottle 3. Plant Bean in lake hylia 4. Become Adult 5. Go get hoverboots early 6. Beat Forest temple (To get rid of shiek) 7. Ride beanplant to Fisherman's Pond 8. Go Fishing (20 rupees) 9. Equip Hover + cast fishing line (v1.0 only) 10. Move to door w/ line cast 11. Go back towards ToT 12. In hyrule field (Not in lake hylia) Pause and unpause (puts deku stick on B [DON'T PRESS B]) 13. Empty bottled fish and catch it again 14. Do backflip and then press bottle button and then B before you hit the ground. (puts bottle on B) 15. Go to ToT 16. Put fish on c-right and make sure deku nuts aren't equipped (not sure but to be safe). 17. Become child 18. Become Adult (light arrows are now on B) 19. Perform Ganon Early (bomb-boosted hover method since you don't have a sword for swordglitch method)

Before you guys flame TSA, I think you should remember how much he has contributed to the Zelda speedrunning community. He pretty much got the ball rolling for Zelda speedrunning back in the day, so give him some respect please.

Sorry to say but he drew his sword first(metaphorically) at me. Why are you defending him?

TSA is an arrogant attention whore and the fact that people are signing up on websites to defend his "honor" when he is talked down about just shows that he's definitely got attention. I don't care how many boring ass Zelda speedruns he's done; his attitude stops him from getting any respect from me.

I don't even think he's that good at speedruns. There's easiliy 5 OoT players better than him and they've all contributed more to OoT than him in terms of tricks and runs. He's never held any records that lasted more than a short while before they were beat because they weren't that good. There's mulitple people better than him at every zelda game and they've contributed more.

Haha- ouch. bkDJ: greatest "LONG" WIP ever. I was able to run the entire run today (I never could before) and it did desynch at the start of Jabu Jabu. I have the WIP vid to see progress after that until the master sowrd was pulled, but it'd still be nice to see everything you do from now until publication.

Done with the Dead Hand room. Since I didnt have the magic spin, I had to run up to him, crouch stab, and jumpslash him in a weird order for him/the game to realize that his life is over.

Fair enough. Did you beat it in one cycle regardless? What's your current time?

How can you get Magic as Adult? Is it just to get to top off Death mountain and Bomb up the wall and get it?

I can try to sync up the audio and put it into WMV format if you want. It's a matter of using Windows Movie Maker, it shouldn't be that hard... And Guano, nice run so far ;)

Think, JXQ! How many pro athletes, movie stars and so on have egos the size of Texas? Who cares if TSA brags like an asshole about getting Twilight Princess two weeks early? I agree that TSA is not the best person to talk to for a modest, neutral conversation, but for God's sake don't shun him for an inflated ego. Look at Muhmammad Ali. A legendary fighter who was a cocky, arrogant bastard, but boy could he fight! If you need to flame TSA, please do NOT link his ego with his speedrunning abilities. It's just unfortunate that TSA happens to have an inflated head, or else he would be respected as a deity!

TSA may not be great as a runner and his methods may be outdated, but he helped pioneer zelda speedrunning and got the ball rolling for the things we see today. You have to at least give him credit for that.

Don't shun him for an inflated ego? Please, I will do exactly that. I don't respect Kobe Bryant either, because he's an arrogant little prick. He's good at basketball, but that doesn't let me ignore how much of an ass he is.

Right, give his fighting credit, but not his demeanor. That's exactly what I'm doing with TSA. He might be good at Zelda speedrunning (though many say there are several who are better), but I don't care about Zelda speedrunning as a skill. All he's got left after that is his shitty attitude.

Sorry I must be missing something, what did TSA do that made him such an ass? He's made some great runs, which in turn inspired better runs, and I don't see anything wrong with that. I don't know him personally but don't you think you guys are overreacting just a bit? Anyway, that's all I'm gonna say I don't want to clog up this thread with arguments about TSA. btw, what is the target time now for this TAS?

When the original OoT TAS came out he flamed it like GuanoBowl shot his dog. That rubbed many people the wrong way, I know it annoyed me. He's probably an ass in general, but that showed it to everyone.

It didn't help that GuanoBowl actually did shoot TSA's dog. ;_;
