Submission Text Full Submission Page
After watching Comicalflop's Wetrix submission of one of my old favorite games for the PC. I decided to take a random shot at making a movie. I hadn't expected to beat Comicalflop's score by so much. Final score was 702,356 compared to 67,401. This large difference in score is due to the strategy used to obtain multiple rainbows. Rainbows multiply your score by 10 in addition to how many ducks. 3 ducks + a rainbow = score multiplied by 80 (2x2x2x10). Also, this score is partly by accident and poor playing. Allowing the first ice cube to hit was poor playing, but it allowed the mines that later dropped to be completely out of the way and allowing for a 3rd duck to be in play for both the rainbows.
Thank you Comicalflop for first submitting the original Wetrix submission and helping me to not make a fool of myself.

I should have listened :-P you beat my score by 634,955. That is FAR greater than what I had beaten the WR by. Awesome job! I am very pleased that my original submission has spurred competition. When I downloaded the game I just knew that it was a worthy game to fight over, with many different modes and variations on strategy to perfect scores. This definitely motivates me to make another submission of this game at a later point in time, whether it be 1 minute challenge or a different mode.

A score over ten times as big as Comicalflop's? Definite yes.

Wow, very nice. You obliterated Comicals score :P Easy yes vote. Btw, why is your movie 2 seconds longer?

It's two seconds longer because the 1 minute mode is not entered on the first possible frame to affect luck (this was unintentional) and that at the end, when it says you win and the board is cleared and water drips off, pressing start to go to the enter name screen is not pressed on the first possible frame. These two, subtract a few frames from a shorter name of Deign compared to Comicalflop amounted to the time difference. Deign and I just found that there are 15,000+ variations on the sequence of pieces that falls, even within the first 10 frames of delay in entering 1 minute challenge. (I said this game was complex, and I was spot on! ^_^) So within the next few days we'll try to scour frames to find the best possible outcome, and determine the maximum possible score based on the best possible income.

This is due to the fact that every movement in the menu affects the RNG that determines what pieces you'll get. In other words if you delay 1 frame in the menu to get a different set of pieces, you would get a completely different result if you moved that 1 frame delay to a different spot on the menu. This occurs even on the 2 points before you hit the menu as well This considered there are 7 points in which to affect the RNG before entering the game. Therefore the possibilities COULD be endless. But hopefully with a little research there might be a pattern or a limited amount of different algorithms that determine piece order.

Even though it doesn't aim for fastest time as a primary goal, menus and whatnot should be done on the first frame possible. Unless of course if it is to manipulate luck.

Yeah, so the first pause, before entering the challenge, is "technically" not a mistake. The pause before the enter screen is a mistake. Hopefully within the first possible frame to enter the mode there's enough luck variance. Also, the name should probably be entered as 'A', to reduce even more time.... but then again, this isn't exactly a "fastest time based" run, but anyhoos...

Entering your own name should be acceptable. That arguably has some entertainment value.

Yes, please do enter your name. :) Good job, that was a crazy score. I used to play this on my PC a lot too!

How the heck does entering your name add any entertainment value? "A" is fine.

Since it's timed ingame, it doesn't matter what the emulator movie time is. Entering a name isn't a problem. It's "702,356 in 1 minute challenge", not "completion in 00:52.37".
I like my "thank you"s in monetary form.

watching wetrix runs is always amazing :) Yes because I enjoyed the run, but if this is going to be a fierce and rapidly evolving competition, maybe it would be better to hold off on publishing?

Going to agree with bkDJ and cancel this submission. Will probably post a new one in about a few days to a week.
