This is my third attempt at Looney Tunes. I had canceled the first run due to my finding several improvements, specifically in Tweety Stage. The second run improved the old one by 412 frames, but was canceled. In this third attempt, I was able to get through the Speedy Gonzalies Stage without the invincible. I also had the best Bugs Bunny run of the three attempts. I killed a lot of bad guys which caused the same amount of lag as not killing bad guys. I had a perfect run through the mini boss section, and my Elmer Fudd fight was excellent. The Bugs level is the most impressive looking level of the run. this third run saved 319 frames over my second run.
I used VBA-rerecording 19.3 to record this run.
* Record from Power on
* Game Boy
* No BIOS
* Aims for fastest possible time
* Takes Damage to save Time
* Abuses a Programming error in Tweety Stage
Daffy Stage
This is exactly the same as my other two runs. Used down hill slopes to keep fast speed, used Turbo swimming in one room, Swimming is just as fast as walking underwater.
Tweety Stage
This stage is the exact same as my second run.
As in my first run, I get hit by the baseball to get the speed boost. I discovered that by landing on Sylvester for a brief moment, Tweety gets a brief speed boost. This is used throughout the whole level. Keeping Sylvester with me the whole time was very tricky.
Porky Stage
This stage is exactly the same as my second run
Not much to say here. Did some neat dodging, and got hurt to save time.
Tazmanian Devil Stage
This stage is the exact same as my second run
This level causes problems. Spinning through the bricks causes severe lag, so I didn't spin through too many. Because of this, this level may seem sort of pointless.
Speedy Gonzalies Stage
This is where new stuff starts. As in my second run, I use the skeleton guy to give me a speed boost from the front. I was now able to get through the level alive, and faster by not getting the invincible.
Road Runner Stage
I lost some of my gained frames here. The Wile E. Coyote fight took slightly longer than before.
Bugs Stage
This went VERY well. It is easily the most TAS looking part of the run. As mentioned, killed lots of bad guys without wasting time, and the Mini boss section and Elmer Fudd went incredibly well.
I have looked over the run quite strictly now, and am quite satisfied with it. I don't think there is any other reason to cancel it again,
These are a few screenshots I took. I personally don't like any of the ones posted, so I took some of my own. I think the one with Bugs is the best shot. I'd like it if one of these could be used. Preferably the Bugs one.
NesVideoAgent: Hi! I am a robot. I took a few screenshots
of this movie and placed them here.
Oh! I also corrected the ROM name.
