Behold Optic Blas... er ... [1342] Arcade X-Men vs. Street Fighter "playaround" by SDR in 11:38.38. I also like this movie. I also like hovering over the link.

Download DoNotBotherRunningIt.lua
Language: lua

--I shall demonstrate the forum's ineptitude in reading the --backslash as an escape character for another backslash! local str1= "Nothing wrong here" local str2= "But lookie here\\" local str3= "It did not read the backslashes right!" print("So now what am I supposed to do?")
... Man, I'm real bad at this lua stuff. I'm not even using the strings I just created! This is a cleverly disguised bug report. See if you can find it!

Unfortunately, you're submitting the bug report to the wrong development team.

Ilari was kind enough to start this page: Wiki: ForumMarkup. Give it a look over and improve it if you can. If anything is unclear, feel free to ask here.

Hey there, I was wondering if you could possibly release the source code for the [.video] tag? A forum I mod has recently switched to SMF2.0 (which is very nice forum software by the way) and now that it's workable again we'd like to start improving it. A tag like [.video] would be a brilliant start.

I doubt that would help, given that this is a phpbb install.

In the end, it's all PHP code. Aside from everything being in a phpbb wrapper, the logic that creates the Flash embeds is most likely 100% reusable.

I'm assuming that it's not supposed to show just a black screen with some garbled white... I assume text... scrolling from right to left, for 24 minutes. What does it require to actually show some video footage?

Sorry, Warp. That's nicovideo's fault, not the bbcode or the module's fault. Try again in 10 minutes.

The scrolling text is comments, in Japanese of course. You can disable that by clicking on the speech bubble in the lower-right corner. The lack of actual video is a problem I've had many times with Nicovideo, unfortunately. Dunno what causes it.

Opera 12, on Windows XP 64bit (if that matters) Changed to a screen shot of the problem in my above post in case that helps you understand the problem better.

Loading this page on a work computer (Win7 / Firefox 3.something) just causes Nahoc's Bomberman videos from this post to show -- no bulletin board, just the embedded videos. On my laptop (OSX 10.7.3 / Firefox 8.0.1) the video just isn't there instead. Ditto the Baidu video.

There's too much going on at once on this page, too many conflicts with each other. I'm going to create separate threads so people can test individually.
