This TAS is for Antarctic Adventure, it shows the prequel to Penguin Adventure.

Game objectives

  • openMSX 0.8.1
  • Make one full round around Antarctica
  • Catch Fish
  • Grab Flags
  • Reach the end of a stage before time runs out
This submission is dedicated to all the 'meh' voters that never played any MSX games ;) I hope you have as much fun voting 'meh' as I did making this TAS.

DarkKobold: Claimed.

DarkKobold: So, I got a PM asking me to change the one yes vote on this submission to a meh vote. I think the universal decision is that this game makes for an extremely boring TAS. The level never even changes! Thus, not even the author voted positively for this movie. Yeah... Last I checked, it wasn't april fools, but since we are pretending, totally rejecting for being an MSX game. (Not really, actually game choice.)

adelikat: Unrejecting for consideration to publication to the Vault

adelikat: Accepting for publication to the Vault

Ilari: Processing

What, if any, TAS-only tricks did you use to make this TAS?

I used reverse 106 times and pushed the space bar a lot of times... also the cursors came in handy to avoid stuff or pick stuff up. The goal was reached in the fastest time possible while trying to make game play entertaining. The mute button also came in handy.

I can't decide that you just simply joking or you make a very good job at sarcasm. Anyway, I voted meh mostly because of bad game choice and lack of entertainment.

it's incredible to see a lack of replies why this should be voted no or meh. The penguin has a very limited amount of moves - forward - left - right - jump

This seems like a bad game choice.

I vote no due to bad game choice. This game doesn't display anything impressive, and is very dull.

Bad game choice. Weird game objectives. No glitches. The seals (or young walrus?) were cute though. Voting no.

I thought Penguin Adventure was bad but this game is worse. There isn't even anything technically fascinating here either. Voting no.

I like Penguin Adventure, but this is a really bad choice for a TAS. Voting no. Also, 100%? Wouldn't that mean collecting all the fish and flags?
