You have 80 bolts. Parrot14green has 225 bolts. Please stop and think.
Well, I'm thinking

360 bolts are necessary for first shopping. Parrot14green collected 520 bolts before there, but because the bolts had been collected more than the necessity, the loss of time was done. You have to reduce bolts and save time. About first CD in Cold level, picking up it at revisit is faster due to special weapon. And, please reset re-recordCount. It is 100% not any%.

So, what I did is good, right? If so, I will continue with what I did

I want you to find it by yourself. Otherwise, I think you can't obsolete published run.

I found out about M.Card may be able to use instant kill Wily. And I tried it. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/414023436/RnF_Wily_M.Card.smv As a result, sad to say, I failed. Explanation: This movie abuses weapon appears erroneous position glitch, and aims for hitting M.Card to Wily at the moment when he appeared. It may be better watching this movie with weapon's position.
Weapon1 x: 0x7E0CE0, y: 0x7E0CE2
Weapon2 x: 0x7E0D20, y: 0x7E0D22
All of them are 2byte unsigned
Even if this succeeded, it is too late to use due to very long preparation time.

Hello everybody. A half year passed since my last Rockman & Forte run. And, I decided to make my 100CDs run. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1281969929/100CD%20dynamo%20375bolts.smv 863 frames saved so far, instead 145bolts and 1CD lost. (I'm gonna pick up this CD later.) Perhaps, this run will save over 1 minute if it comes up to my expectation.

Wow, that was good. My favorite moment so far would ahve to be the way you finish the Astroman battle. Please, do keep us updated.

Burner and Pirate level. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1133806587/100CD%20pirate%20225bolts.smv Now, it goes ahead about 30sec.

Did you waste time on Pirate level on the two squids while you were excavating the CD near them?
<klmz> it reminds me of that people used to keep quoting adelikat's IRC statements in the old good days <adelikat> no doubt <adelikat> klmz, they still do

I go left and Rush puts out offscreen to use quickly I.Wall. But, I found a improvement, so I changed the route. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1255317930/R%26F%20100CD%20pirate%20225bolts.smv

It looks like Capcom was wrong. Winners do indeed do drugs.

http://tasvideos-moviefiles.googlecode.com/files/megaman_rng.zip This Lua file may be helpful. It indexes RNG values, so you know exactly how many times the game has called the RNG. It has two parts, "megaman_rng.lua" and "lookup.xyz". Snes9x 1.43 v17 and later is required (but there is a simple workaround for v16 and some others). Also works for Mega Man X1-6 as well as Mega Man 7 (edit the Lua file). The program checks the RNG value in memory, looks up the index in lookup.xyz, and determines the number of calls on the last frame as well as the RNG values called. The starting value 0xD37 has index 0. After it reaches 43533, it will go back to 0. The RNG works like this:
val <- (val*3)&0xFF00 + (((val*3)>>8)+val)&0x00FF
where val is a 16-bit integer. The period of the RNG is 43534. sparky, I think Astro Man battle could still be improved. I'll see if it is possible.

Thank you FractalFusion! Nice LuaScript. About Astro Man battle. I know it can save 7 frames at least. But, I wonder whether it is possible due to his moving and invincibility. Cold revisit http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1951339161/R%26F%20100CD%20cold%20revist.smv Now, it's 32 sec faster. 360 bolts are necessary for next shopping. I managed to collect them!

intro stage Have a place to use the glitch http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1255575044/Rockman%20%26%20Forte%20%28J%29%20R%26F%20intro.smv

Nice zip route and nice background ;) http://twitpic.com/617efp I was still sticking in cold revisit. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/508370969/R%26F%20100CD%20cold%20revist%20v2.smv This is faster 1 sec. And previous version is finished with bad RNG for next level. I fixed it. And I found some improvements which is useful for any% too. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1836680637/R%26F%20king2%20improvement%201.smv http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/606973210/R%26F%20king2%20improvement%202.smv First zip route loses four big weapon energies, but perhaps, I think it can be recovered in second zip route... (four bats)

Woah, Nice WIP sparky! But why do you revisit Cold Man before Tengu Man?

Unfortunately damage did not help save Shock Guard Research Dynamo stage http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1092771332/Rockman%20%26%20Forte%20%28J%29%20Dynamo%20Idia.smv

First zip (Tengu) is good. Probably it's usable. I've already found second zip (Dynamo). But perhaps, it's not usable. Anyway, thank you woabclf! Recently, I've researched about other game. So my work didn't progress.

Previous version's route is Burner -> Cold revisit -> Pirate -> Tengu My route is Burner -> Pirate -> Cold revisit -> Tengu There are two advantages in this route. First, cursor movement in stage select screen is faster. Second, I can regain weapon energies in first screen of Tengu level. After Tengu, I'll go second shopping. So I have to revisit Cold before Tengu to use Shock Guard.
