Mayde it's very surprised a run was improved in such a short time after published. Got4n & TehSeven's SMBDX run, which just be published yesterday has been improved.

Glitches and tricks

  • Walljumping:A tricks which could be used in many TAS run.
  • Press Left and Right simultaneously:It can quicker than press Right speeded-up.For example,If Mario land when the speed is 24,speed will change into 26 next frame you press Left and Right(Press Right only is 25).
  • Right screen scroll:Press Select and screen will scroll to right, then piranha plants can appear earlier.

Improvements:

  • Start stage:Press Start one frame faster.
  • World 1-1:The main was walljumped in the underground stage, when I hit the flagpole the time was 372 so I didn't need to slow down.30 frame saved in total.
  • World 1-2:No frame saved.
  • World 4-1:1 frame saved.
  • World 4-2:1 frame saved in the warp zone.
  • World 8-1:1 frame saved.
  • World 8-2:No frame saved.
  • World 8-3:No frame saved.
  • World 8-4:Better speeded-up and enter three pipe more quickly,Unfortunately,I have to lost some frame at last because the Hammer Brother, but frames still saved in total.And...I think the movie shouldn't end until Mario touch chopper, but Got4n&TehSeven's run didn't.

FRAME WAR!!! Voting the opposite of NO EDIT: Making a temp encode right now. Edit 2: DONE Link to video I like frame 9218... because of the typical pixels off the piranha plants.

Dammit, you found both of the improvements that we did after the run(walljump and <- + ->). Well, congrats. *grumble* [edit]

Well, you were 33 frames ahead of us. You saved 32 in 1-1, 4-1 and 8-1, so you saved 1 frame there. You didn't improve the pipes.

So should I expect a frame war here?

Oh master I ever DID know, I just didn't know what they were thinking on doing, whether to show that they have made it faster or let this run go up.

"Delayed" maybe?
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

No frame war. I'd accept it already.

NO... as Moth wrote in Mega Man Extreme

It is much better to wait or else we will be having the whole battletoads extravaganza happening again... in a different game.

If it's going to take a long time, then I don't see an issue with having an interim. We avoid back to back publications. If it means we're going to have a several month gap between, that's fine.

This movie has been published. The posts before this message apply to the submission, and posts after this message apply to the published movie. ---- [2383] GBC Super Mario Bros. Deluxe "warps" by KFCMARIO in 04:56.86

Shouldn't it go to Moons? The obsoleted movie had quite decent rates.

Personally, I'm all for rejecting this game/branch entirely, it's just a cheap knock off of its big brother, and sort of duplicates in a worse way better TASs. However we have a vault, and it can live there as a testament to a record.
