Hey guys, when i try to play nes games with the editor opened, the program allways freeze up after a few minutes of gameplay. The editor window where you see all the inputs just goes blank and then the program stops responding. Does anyone have an idea of what i could be doing wrong ? Keep in mind im new to this program.

Do not use the TAS Studio in BizHawk! It's beta version and very unstable, you get desyncs very easily. The other Nes emulator fceux has a working TAS Editor.

Thanks, is there a way to rewind a recorded game and then start recording from where you rewinded without using the editor ? I tryed with out and when i rewind the video it just resume from where i was at that point. But what i want is to be able to record AND play from there on. If you see what i mean ?? sorry my english isnt the best. I was using fceux to record longplays but for some reason even when i record uncompressed videos to youtube, they allways appears to be bad quality, it looks so much better when i play..i tryed most of the codecs that i could find to,,, it seems like youtube dont like 240p videos or something

You should use savestates. There's also a rewind function, but it's not recommended for normal TASing.

You toggle read-only (by default this is bound to the Q hotkey), then load a state, and it will switch to replay mode instead of record mode.

biosolids, if you are using an SVN/Developer Build, please ensure it's the latest version. But if you do, expect problems to appear.

Yeah i did that. but when i load the save, if i rewind it to a specific l ocation, it will con tinue playing on it own, i dont want this. I want to rewind and then play from where i rewinded.

<adelikat> r874, predates the release of bizhawk 1.0 by a year or more
So, yea. It's pretty outdated I would say. Can you tell me where/how you got that build? Because that's something interesting I would like to look into a little more to figure out what's going on here. If you need help getting a newer developer build, let me know.

That's not the emulator's fault. That's YouTube's fault. It absolutely destroys 240p video when it re-encodes/compresses/whatever the hell it does. The same compression problem would happen with BizHawk if you got it to work. If all you want is YouTube video quality, you can keep using FCEUX, you just have to manually resize the video to HD. AviSynth's PointResize function does this beautifully for NES games.

That's not a good answer. You mightve got it from buggyvirusbuilds.info in which case youre wasting your own time, and your system is being used to send spam. You need to know these things. We can't support builds from buggyvirusbuilds.info.
