Game objectives

  • Emulator used: Dolphin 5.0
  • It is to see ending.
  • Aims for the fastest time.

Some necessary settings

  • Dual Core: OFF.
  • Idle Skipping: Off.
  • DSP emulator engine: DSP LLE Interpreter.
  • DSP LLE on thread: OFF.
  • Use EURGB60: OFF.

Comments

  • This is my first TAS. So, I am worried about whether TAS is done properly.

Stage by stage comments

World 1

  • A lot of tame are saved by Enemy Boosting (Especially in 1-2).

World 5

  • New improvement in 5-1 and 5-4 save about 1.5 seconds.

World 8

  • Small improvements. Bowser Jr. can be defeated with Ground Pound.
<And so on>
  • Improvement was seen at most levels. But, I lost 2 frames in 5-1 before getting star. On map after 5-Mini, I also lost 30 frames to uncertain reasons.

Other comments

  • As I said earlier, 5-1 and map after 5-Mini could be improved. Also, although I have not succeeded, it may be able to beat Bowser Jr. faster.
I am very happy if you can enjoy the movie. I'm Japanese, so sorry for my bad English.

日本語(Japanese)

Dolphin 5.0

DPS LLE interpreter

Nach: Judging.

Nach: Replacing submission with faster one from author.

Nach: Nice in-game improvement. Some of the moves to make it faster may seem originally counter-intuitive because they lose time, but they make it up by accelerating certain opportunities. Accepting as improvement to existing run.

I'm iffy on Japanese cause seriously there's no striking difference to the US version besides text but whatever just random salt in the mouth. YouTube video time and Submission Time don't match up, I'm just assuming a check in the input is required just to be sure it's on final input. I'll put up a comparison to Soig's movie and yours like previous times as an edit to my post, as well as which way I'll vote. It'll most likely be a Yes.

You can write it in Japanese and someone would be happy enough to translate it to English for you.

Nice Improvement! Voting Yes for sure
I like to comment on submissions and look around the site. You have probably seen me before (if you have been around for a while) either on the site, Discord, or any other social media. I recently took up making temporary encodes for new submissions. Also, I never forget to greet Tompa wherever I find him! "when resyncing stuff sucks it's called Resuccing" - EZGames69 “If an emulator stops being accepted to the site it should be called an emuLAMEr” - EZGames69 "oh no discord, everything I say will now be logged forever, sdfsdf, time to hide" - Masterjun "just had to give therapy to a taxi with daddy issues" - psx Current Projects: Mother 3 (75% complete)

Thank you for your reply. I will have a rest for this run during some days. I've finished about 1/2 of the whole run. Just world by world. I didn't think about how faster if alternate every world. If you do join, I'll give you my run and savestates. Mod Edit: Piracy is not allowed

I think you can just upload your new movie to userfiles and a judge will replace it for you.

It's linked in the submission already and the judges are aware. The submitted movie will be updated as soon as a judge has time. There is no need to post the movie again Nonster.

You mean the thing under the first video that's under the subtext "newer"? Cause it's already there, directly below the first video.

Not talking about the video. Was referring to the new tas file.

Just as a point out you're slower off at the start of the gate to get into first cutscene. I'm just going to place that under as Emulation Improvements and ignore it. Since I'm a bit lazy at changing the table I'm using. Left is New. Right is Old. Because of this. Difference will be Negative and not Positive. Anything Negative in the stage comparison is better for Nonster. In-Game Time:
LEVEL | NONST | SOIG | DIF
 1-1 | 456 | 456 | 0
 1-2 | 457 | 456 | -1
 1-3 | 451 | 450 | -1
 5-1 | 449 | 448 | -1
MINIG | 93 | 93 | 0
 5-3 | 445 | 445 | 0
 5-C | 533 | 533 | 0
 5-4 | 357 | 355 | -2
 5-H | 571 | 571 | 0
 8-1 | 431 | 431 | 0
 8-2 | 423 | 422 | -1
 8-7 | 343 | 343 | 0
 8-S | 399 | 368 | -31
 8-B | 586 | 586 | 0
 END | 516 | 515 | -1
TOTAL | 5849 | 5886 | -38

Note: Higher is better*
*Lower is better for "difference"
(I'll fix the table at a later time cause maybe.) KEY: B = Bowser, C = Castle, H = Haunted House, MINIG = Mini Game, S = Ship END refers to no input that's why there are 2 times for the final level. Total time reads all except for 8-B since that and END are the same level. Since it's basically definitive by a whopping 38 IGT compared to 8 IGT last time. I'm not going to do a frame by frame. (Totally not because of the fact it's a pain in the ass to do that one)

Nice improvement, yes vote. Great work! I've also managed to get a reliable sync on my dumping machine and so I'll happily encode and publish this run if / when it gets accepted.
