The reason why I think only A sides would be more entertaining is because A sides is what most players have actually played during casual playthroughs, and anyone that has watched speedruns of this game are more used to seeing the A sides done in the any% routes. So alot of people including myself may not find B sides as entertaining.
There’s also the question of what happens if in the future, it’s discovered that doing all B sides ends up being faster than doing A sides at all, or at least doing a majority of B sides (like 5 b sides). Of course that seems silly now, but I feel that this could set a bad example sometime in the future if this run gets further improved or if a simmilar movie has the same issues.

Hi FlyMario, and welcome to TASVideos.
To try and answer your question, we for the most part focus on completing games as fast as possible, and that can come from the use of glitches. However, we aren’t against runs that avoid those kinds of techniques, the only requirement for those is if the community here finds the run entertaining and thinks they are different enough to the any% or 100% branches of the game.
I would say the reason that you dont see as many as those kinds of runs around here is because they require a bit more approval from the community than an any% or a 100% run would need. If you want to read more about it, our rules talk about the Movie goals and what we expect from them.

Edit: I’m giving a weak yes vote only because I don’t agree with the use of B sides in chapters 5-6. I would rather those be completed in a 100% instead.

For how butchered the DKC GameBoy ports are, I think this game is one of the better ones. At least on the GBC you can see what’s going on in the game. The tas was pretty fun with some neat tricks here and there. Definitely a yes vote.

Are you making this nomination based on the KSFH from April in the vault or the one I just accepted a few days ago? Because if the latter, it's not published yet, and you cannot thank nymx for his hard work on it till next awards season.
I think he put a ton of work on both movies. Objectively he has worked harder on the one that was just accepted a few days ago, but even the current published one is bery high in technical quality.

I think there was a rule last year where multi-game TASes are not elegible for the award.
That was for the First Edition award, where the base game(s) already had TASes of their own.
There is no reason to disqualify a multi-game TAS from NES TAS or other TAS categories they qualify for. In fact, a few of them have wonawards in the past.
Ah I see now. Then I’m also for nominating that tas too.
