Well that's not really a bug, just something I found and that shoud be changed : in the players list, maTO appears twice : once in the "Current players / teams" part, and once in the "Old players / teams" part.
Indeed, maTO is linked to 2 different players' ID (378 and 380) that both link to the same user account.
EDIT : another bug : when I want to post a new message, the option "Attach avatar" has no effect ; my avatar is indeed always shown near my post after its publication.
I liked how you managed to beat some misisons with a very few units (as Rolanmen1 said, the Two weeks mission was hilarious) and how you cheated the AI, though I would have liked to see sometimes more fights with a more complex strategy. But apparently that was not neccesary for some missions.
This run seems to be well planned and executed, and pretty entertained me, so I'll give it a Yes.
My judgment might be biased by the fact I liked to play this game, but your TAS pretty entertained me. There wasn't any interesting glitch, but some shortcuts were quite enjoyable.
I'll give it a yes vote.
Oops... I wanted to speak about Spider-man 2 on GBA (I've corrected it in my last post).
In this game, you can indeed earn experience points in order to buy differents skills.
Well, indeed, this information has not its place in this page.
While searching in the pages related to the emulators, I didn't see the point you're talking about. It could indeed be added somewhere.
You're perfectly right. I tried to think about it while translating, but maybe some parts of the translation could be done again.
Anyway, please tell me if you see anything wrong in the translation (not only in the highlighted sentences). Thanks ;) .
I am going to try to explain my vote more in depth :
This run seems very well planned and optimised (obsolet it will be hard unless someone finds new glitches or uses the warp glitch in a better place). The way the Prince moves is also pretty funny.
The dialogues take a long part of the game, and many viewers here can't understand Japanese. Unfortunately, the story seems interesting.
Does a fan-translation exist ? If it is the case, it would be cool if you could transcript it and put English subtitles in your videos on YouTube. But I really do not want to force you.
The glitched screen after the warp glitch didn't really bother me, because the game was still legible. By using the diary, do you mean saving the game and re-loading it ? Or is it only some other feature in your diary ?
As you've been able to un-glitch the screen before the end, apparently without re-loading the game, it's a shame that you couldn't have un-glitched the game before the last level...
The relationship between the two Princes seems a bit complicated in the game. Could you also explain it ? In fact, I don't really understand why they are fighting at the end.
The fact that it is long for a GB game doesn't really affect me, but I see what you mean.
I maintain my weak yes vote ; the movie is pretty long, but I still think this movie has to be published. I give it 5 for entertainment, and 8 for technical.
BTW, your TAS playlist on your YouTube channel is quite impressive.
You want to put this in the English version (not only in the French one) ?
If it's the case, you can propose your idea to other users, perhaps they will be interested.
Yes, indeed, there is a definite potential in France (... but I don't considered myself as a geek :) )
That's the issue.
I STILL think it could be useful. Indeed, it could help along French TASers (for a start). As you said, it could also prevent from "bad submissions".
Moreover, people can ask for translation help when submitting (I think of SDR, IIRC), if their English is not that good.
It is also a way to promote TAS, for those who just want to watch tool-assisted movies.
Thank you for your interesting suggestions. It's a shame that there is no TAS entrie in the French Wikipedia. I'd also like to give a hand for subtiltling the 88miles show in English (this would be useful), but that's a really hard work.
Thank you also for this. It will never be perfect (-> syntax issue), but I think the text is now comprehensible.
I had indeed problems with some words (like savesate, gaming, skill ...). I asked me whether I should have translated them or not.
SDA's submission principle is virtually the same than our (well, we don't have their work of cheat verification).
Even if SDA is a bit bigger than our community, and even if they play in real time, if this works for them, it will work for us too.
Moreover (please tell me if I am wrong), I remember that Bisqwit wanted to translate some parts of the website into Chinese or Japanese. He gave up this idea because it would have been a too hard work. (EDIT : I've found it !)
Hi !
I have decided to translate some pages of the Wiki into French, in order to continue the promotion of TAS in France.
I've just finished the translation of the Why And How page, and I'm working on the Guidelines for player page and the Rules page.
I have in mind that these translated pages won't be very useful for regulars, but they could be useful for French newcomers, who could be repelled by English. Language barrier mustn't be a problem.
It would be cool if some French TASers could look at this translation to make sure there is no mistake. The text isn't formated yet.
Thanks ;)
Well played, but too long. I vote meh, even if you did a good job.
I found your TAS funnier than the GBA's silent scope's one (same kind of game), ... but also longer.
