Xipo has improved x2poet's run in 2011. And only 1778 frames slower than this run, and didn't use warp glitch. So it's means this run can still been improved more than 20s include boss fight. https://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMzQ1Nzg0MjMy.html

[1385] Arcade Metal Slug X "1 player" by AngerFist in 18:48.40 Should be made an independent branch, similarly to Contra.
This run is played on level 4, not the hardest difficulty. There are something special in metalslug games. The true hardest difficulty is level 8 of 2 players, because the enemise have more hp than 1 player run. So you can use some tricks like [4420] NES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project "2 players" by Geesk, GJJJGJJJ, aiqiyou in 26:56.29. Though the rule said arcade continues are not allowed, it still could let player 2 join in the middel of game or let 1 player die all lives to reduce difficulty. So I think all arcade metalslug games should been played on 2 players level8. And you can use death, but can't let it be 1 player game in any time.

Thank you for your share. Good job, you have improved it. In some stages, did you cost some frames for manipulate bombman of next next next stages? I found your new run is slower than your old run in the early stages until stage 14. edit: desync on normal rom at stage 17, sync on rom: Lode Runner (J) [b2].nes

I remember Takanawa has uploaded a run in 2015. But too bad I found he has deleted his movie. The nico number is sm27702953. The movie which I download is 30fps. Frames @65243. In some stages, this submitted run is faster. It means Takanawa's run can still be improved.

The password itself supposedly enables a "2nd quest" mode. However, no one seems to know what this "2nd quest" mode even is.
The address 0x00A0 contral enemies' action. 0 is level 1 of 1st quest (easy) 1 is level 2 of 1st quest (easy) 9 is level 1 of 2st quest (easy) 36 is level 1 of 1st quest (hard) 45 is level 1 of 2st quest (hard) The enemy has 3 speed level: 0~17; 18~35; 36~53 This address's different number cause the different rainbow-team enemies in different behaviour. For example, when you play the XTREMAL93's movie, change 0x00A0 to 45, and the movie will desync. But when you change it to 37, it will sync to the level 3. When you play the Mzscla's movie, change vaule to 36, it desync, too. Change to 46, and sync to the level 3, too. But change to 47, it will desync at a yellow soldier. Because only this soldier's behaviour has changed in this stage, but others not. 0x00A2~A4 are the location of hostages. These addresses can't change enemies' action.

Even if we exclude the password usage it's still 150 frames faster. However, these tricks are affected by emulation differences between FCEUX and NesHawk, which leads in different RNG outcomes.
Where is the RNG address in this game? When I copy the input to ECCO's movie, and use cheat to change 0x00A0 to 45. The movie sync perfect until get more lags.
ThunderAxe31 wrote:
Is not really known, it's found only on a little-known site that died years ago Uses a less accurate emulator, which means that routes used there may be impossible to replicate on NesHawk Additionally, it's merely 150 frames faster while this submission features a similar level of overall optimality.

The password 397211 allow you paly the second quest of the hard mode. Though I'm not sure how much different between 1st and 2nd quest, I think it don't break the password-rule. Link to video

GoddessMaria: Judging... GoddessMaria: Hello Daniel_1RD and welcome to TASVideos! Unfortunately, your submission fails to beat all known records and thus is suboptimal. I'd encourage that you keep working on it and research every possible aspect. If you wish to show off what you've done before submitting, there's the Userfiles to upload and post it in the relevant game thread. In the meantime... Rejecting.

Hello, Daniel_1RD. Why your this run is still slower than this wip? status frame lag (frame-frame lag-lag) Bios 0 0 yours 285 73 (285 73) title 729 31 yours 997 88 (268 57)<285-73=212;268-57=211;because I stop at the lag frame, and it's the different emulator> get shoes 7532 965 yours 7679 864 (147 -101) match 18544 2518 yours 18935 2167 (391 -351) So yours is more than 500 frames slower than that wip, and he got the more XP and Zmoney than yours.

You might want to expand on your post a little bit..
Thank you for reminding me. Did it.

[3855] GBA Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow "Julius mode" by klmz in 03:48.14 Edit: fast move in jumping and kicking [3617] GBA Mega Man Zero 2 by Hetfield90, Flameberger in 49:47.57 Edit: wire used like "Tarzan of the Apes" [3711] GBA Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 "e-Reader levels" by Soig in 38:32.92 Edit: ←+→ speedup trick as same as the snes version, but gba VC version can show the more new games+, so I nominate this. [3613] NES Bionic Commando by nEilfox, Alyosha & Challenger in 12:25.62 Edit: wire move and zip, the same reason as megaman zero 2.

I have watched this movie before he submitted. I'm alittle surprised that he submitted it so quickly, like he did this tas so quickly, too. It's not a perfect improvement, some places like a rta run. But the wip is not a perfect improvement, too. The wip is faster, there is a big reason that he cost 1 life of 2P to exchange Raph to Mike. But cause 1P get 1 more life, and 2P get less lives. Is it good for the 5th(sewer) stage? Maybe he has to cost 1 more life in 5th stage. So I doubt his plan. As a 2 players of 30 minutes tas, I don't think it can be said reject easily for a hard tas. Even this tas can be found improvement here and there. In face, tasvideos has accepted lots of movies which is slower than known recode and wip. i.e. [1765] GBA Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance "in bounds" by sksk1990 in 28:27.17 is slower than [1222] GBA Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance by klmz in 11:13.12 at the very beginning. If we cut klmz run as the wip, as the rule, it couldn't be accepted, but still be published. Even this run [2401] NES Super C "1 player" by Airwe in 12:29.63 made some big mistake, but still be published. If Nach judge it, maybe it would be accepted, because of [2276] NES Super C "pacifist" by Heidman in 13:21.40 and #3762: Soig's NES Super C "pacifist" in 13:00.20. [3513] NES Crash 'n' the Boys: Street Challenge "best ending" by Inzult in 08:10.86 The swim fight is not the biggest problem for more than 30 seconds slower than nico's run, and nico's is best ending, too. [2128] NES Chack'n Pop by GeminiSaint in 06:55.63 This run broke the 2 rules, but it is very lucky to be published.

Mostly you are right, as I know, Hetfield90 and soig always made tas so quickly, and beat the recode. Though I agree making tas shoud be slowly.

If you want to know my opinion: there's a tiny big problem, in that TAS lose the game. I think the game will be accepted if demonstrates you can complete two games in one input, and it doesn't even press anything while in Circus Charlie is ending a Stage to save time in Urban Champion... if the movie completes Circus Charlie and beats the rival in Urban Champion at least once it would be amazing, and optionally much better if the length of both were similar.
mtvf1 wrote:
I think all of the endless games can be accepted like this.
Just depending how the audience may see the games played in the run and the author's goals I see DK3 a bit repetitive since Stage 5 because there's only 3 different environments in this game and Stage 4 shows the last different environment, and as even in the MESHUGGAH's DK3 run seems to end in Stage 4, well, it was my verdict and was my best decision. This is what I mean with the diffrerent "environments":
mtvf1 wrote:
Or is it time for change the endless game rules?
This movie is just a Demonstration, I ended the game in Stage 4 because it makes all 4 games have similar lengths, even if I didn't expect it, completing the game entirely will make the TAS like the Adventures of Lolo TAS, (completes another game in 3 minutes while playing the main game in 21) even if I lost much time in the rest of 3 games to complete then in... supposing 5 minutes, DK3 will still be very long for that and won't be the idea of my TAS, I'll see it like a just DK3 TAS and adding the another 3 games of DK series for the win. klmz's TAS if were a multigame run I might like it, because the games ends in similar length, but the feature is that it loses the game... Hope I explained well and didn't confuse you XD
You don't need to explain anything. As the feos said, I'm only use my useless infinite accusations to fire the Judges.

Stop your useless infinite accusations. We already established that you fail to comprehend actual explanations. You just don't care and want to use any reason to pretend we're doing something wrong. But you can't, because we have valid reasons you somehow repeatedly miss. There is no double standard, stop repeating that.

If that movie is entertaining enough to be in Moons, it will be accepted. Read my judgment if you still don't know why.
OK, OK! I stop argue with you, I'm out.

While in this situation the DK3 one would have been more than 10 minutes long, more than tripleing 8~9 times this published movie's run time. Also this published movie wasn't aware of the DK3 ending point (albeit it's aiming for that goal). I'm not a judge but I wouldn't accept the linked TAS.
Because of rule, it shouldn't be accepted, of course. But the DK3 has been accepted like this, hasn't it? They have the chance to remove DK3, but they not, and use a special double standart. what's the rule said the difference of movie length is important for Multiple games in one movie? Or if I use a similar time length movie, do you think it shoud be accepted?
