Should use "warpless" as the branch. Takanawa has show a warped run.

I don't know, but don't forget this [3685] NES Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight "warp glitch" by MESHUGGAH & Challenger in 06:50.22 [369] NES Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight by nesrocks in 17:39.98 this [3657] SNES Brandish "map glitch" by Osse101 in 11:12.19 [2833] SNES Brandish by FatRatKnight in 38:42.41 and this [3677] GBC Survival Kids "game end glitch" by MUGG in 02:45.70 [1696] GBC Survival Kids by klmz in 05:37.50 So maybe you have to find the difference by yourself, and choose the fastest version, too.

I know Takanawa has make a tool-assisted play 7 years ago, though his tas was not aim for fastest, only aim for show all hide items. I don't know it's helpful or not, but I'm sure he is widely know this game. Maybe he can make some help. About his tas: New York → London → New Delhi → Tokyo → Paris → Frankfurt → Tokyo He got a hide item UFO in New York. Get 3 balloons and warp from London to New Delh; Get 2 balloons in New Delh; Get a hide item bunny in Tokyo and warp to Paris; Show a comet in Paris; Get 1 balloon in Frankfurt and warp to Tokyo.

At the beginning of this work, I just wanted to use area 1 and area 4's glitch. Because I thought that cell glitch belongs to "game end glitch" branch. Since mtvf1 suggested me to give it an "any%" name, I agree with him.
And I don't agree with him, since all any% TASes on this site do not have a branch at all or have a branch that's not just "any%". Per the Publisher Guidelines:
We don't have a concept of "default goal", therefore we don't use labels like "any%" as a branch label. Instead we identify what is unique in every branch or set of branches, something that the other branches of the same game don't represent.
NB: The branch has been removed in the meantime.
I never suggest him use any% as a branch. I told him with no branch.

It can avoid some enemies, flame, and taking the star or mushroom can't lose any frames at every end of stage. Just like Soig's submission. I don't calculate how much time it can save.

We only accept the fastest run for Vault. It's not about using glitches or not, it's about being faster. Yes, bad ending runs can be accepted as a separate branch from "best ending" movies, assuming the bad ending is achieved faster than the best ending.
I know some games that you can lose everything and still can touch the end, like some sports game. Could we allow only accept the fastest? If we have a tas for moon, could we can accept a bad ending? No matter what it's for Vault or not?

Hi JeyKey_55, do you know the gba version has the Lock Screen trick. Press left and right alternately, and the scroll screen can't be changed. In SMA4, you can press ↔ → ↔ →. I believe you will know where this trick can be widely used. I'm not sure this tas can be published or not, but if you want to improve it, next time use the US version, and test and find more trick first. edit: sorry, it's ↔ ← ↔ ←.

This chip can be use for most viruse battles.

I'm very glad to see someone improved it. Yes vote. This tas is even faster than the nico's 【TAS】高橋名人の冒険島 (1/3) in 35:59.92 by nagisa. I can't touch the youtube, and I don't know nagisa is Norihiro Shibata or not. And I know Takanawa made a tool-assisted perform of this game, too. But he has deleted them someday.

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/45223034431026065 With Wart glitch, I improved my published run 182 frames. This glitch has been found by andrewg in nes version, Post #222666. Too bad I know it a little late. For this glitch working, I can't use the 6th vegetable hit Wart at first time, must wait 1 frame. Then wait for 96 frames and hit Wart by the 7th vegetable.

This is the final file. 48 frames improved. I lose 1 lag frames in 1-2. In boss fight of 7-1, I saved 2 frames. When I edit the movie, I keep the same character X subpixel, but still desync. I have to redo it, and find I can catch the item 1 frames later(peach is slower when take this item), so I can near boss quickily. In 7-2, I saved 1 more lag. Use the old way to kill the eagle, so I can got the better X subpixel of Wart, save the last 2 frames. It's so hard to edit movie. The game's subpixel has annoyed me. I don't want to do it again. If someone can make a youtube link, I will replace the nico's. I find this eagle 128HP glitch. This glitch is similar to Wart glitch has been posted by Kirkq Post #222666. 128HP glitch simple encode with lua. And I find this Wart glitch still work in snes version. So my this published tas [3634] SNES Super Mario All-Stars: Super Mario Bros. 2 by mtvf1 in 07:19.91 can be saved a lot of.

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/45192607393073158 1-1 saved 44 frames with shyguy glitch. Desync on 1-2, because the enemy named snifit fire a ball and cause some lag. Edit: update to 6-2. desynce anywhere, near broken. I fix an 1 frame error after 1-1 boss fight, now I only get 1 more lag in 1-2. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/45196919207382757

Question: Why doesn't the Peach run use a glitched Shyguy to fight Birdo in 1-1, the way the any% run does?
Post #454154 Thanks for you reply it twice, I really really should test it by myself. I have used only one bomb in my snes run, and I test it in nes version too at that time. But I must wait for burst, then I can use the through floor glitch. I didn't notice chatterbox means burst the wall. This is my simple test. I think I can improve more than 20 frames. Because of the rng and subpixel X, this game is a little hard to edit. I'm not sure I have enough time to fix it. Holpful chatterbox have time to edit movie, too.

I just test this 100% run. Test1: User movie #44444854974936216 In stage 1-1, I improved more than 512 frames. Test2: User movie #44444924690744479 Another way to through the 1-1. I played 2-1 first, and used a glitch to jump to 1-1, but maybe I should get the last 3 coins, not the first 3 coins. Even if I did it, it's still slower than play 1-1 first. Because of the frames rule, this tas shouldn't complete stage one by one, it's should complete every part of stages first, and then choose the best order to avoide the large 256-frames-rule, and edit all movies together. So I think this is the very very hard tas. The only 100% coins tas is too much easier.

Sorry, I don't know you use the U version. J and U are use the diffent address. My bad. Watch your wip, I have to say there are too much frames you can save. e.g. When you got the last coin in 1-1, you should use double jump. When you got small pot in vase, why not use charge? In 1-2, you can use star to kill Birdo. And have you never seen my old run how to use Lock Screen? When you jump on Ladder/Vine, it's too slow...

Yes vote. Though we all hope to watch a 100% run, I like to see you did this all items run, and faster than your any% run, and a really pretty well tas. This run could be published, but maybe have to obsolete your old run, and there is no 100% tag.

Thanks for post it. It's seemed he didn't know how to go through the NPC, he just turn around them. When in viruses battle, he didn't press pause for luck manipulation like other mmbn5 or 6 tas. He didn't wait for long time at info like nico's did. I'm not sure he really got the best RNG. Because he choose the red sun? Not blue moon like nico's. Which is the faster version? He didn't got Varsword, this chip is very useful. Maybe we should make a new thread to talk about mmbn4. If he can submit to tasvideos, I think it's worthy to publish. Edit: He should get a very important chip copydamage* at the very beginning.

I mean he should use death, no matter what he use the swimming trick or not. Swimming is the only one small reason for reject. If tasvideos publish the tas of this game, it should be the fastest run in the world we can find. 'Finish first in each event' is not a good reason for publish. If FF6 change the goal that use the more funny ACE, or we can accept it? If we publish this, a death run can obsolet this? Even this death run is slower than the nico's, or we can accept it, too?
