I haven't even started TASing yet. I haven't the faintest clue how to obtain some TAS. If you are wondering, I wanted to start off with super mario world.

By "obtain some TAS", do you mean getting a hold of TASing tools? In this case you will want to grab the latest version of BizHawk and do some reading if you haven't yet. You will also need a Super Mario World ROM, but don't ask where you can get it. Your first and obvious step would be loading the game into BizHawk and gradually going from there. Getting a vague idea of what different tools do and playing around with them is a good way to start if you come unprepared. And welcome! Enjoy your stay.

Thanks! However, I got flags about items in the files several time when I downloaded Bizhawk. Do you have any idea why?

What kind of flags and what software showed them?

BizHawk is perfectly safe and always has been. Add the folder to your exceptions list. Better yet, don't use Norton at all and get something less intrusive/less likely to trigger and delete false positives.

I don't know if this is allowed, but is the site [edited] safe? Mod edit: mentioning sites that distribute ROMs is against the rules. As for your question, ROMs themselves are typically safe since they're deadweight without an emulator. Nothing else is guaranteed. — moozooh
