My vote is arukAdo. I feel that he pretty much destroyed the whole Castlevania series. :)

My vote is for SDR, he took some really potentially boring fighting games and made them incredibly exciting to watch. He knows what it means to entertain.

We are not on votes yet, so ill nominate Ryuto (since i cant self nominate, anyway someone did already), we are basicly both the "top" producer on rookies list this year, 20movies in total combined.

Do we have a list somewhere of the TASers whose first movies were published this year?

Does that qualify them as a rookie? What if they were here since 2005 and submitted a new run every week which never got published, yet some of their ideas got integrated into other people's runs? We have people like Taco and Kriole to think about.

Here you go: http://tasvideos.org/Sgrunt/RookiesOf2009.html I nominate Kriole; both of the runs he worked on are of top notch quality.

Ryuto, arukAdo, Kriole (just two movies, but god damn those were professional), maTO (though he's not really a rookie), Sonikkustar.

I nominate my partner NxCy. He's a great teammate, and he makes highly optimized and highly entertaining movies. DKC2 102%, Yoshi's Island warp run, and his WIP for Yoshi Island 100%. He also has a natural talent for the SMW games/hacks.

Voted for Ryuto for making the most movies I watched/enjoyed out of the nominees.

Decided to vote Kriole in the end, because I prefer quality over quantity.

I voted arukAdo. For rookie I value quantity & variety the most. I find it impressive when a new TASer can quickly adapt to so many platforms & emulators so quickly. I also find arukAdo's work to be of solid quality.

Giving it to Sonikkustar, because I see the most variety on his resume.

ArukAdo hit 13 runs of 8 games across ~5 systems, 4 of them Castlevania games. Along with working on various teams with various individuals. While I am not really a fan of Castlevania, I commend the amount of material produced. Voting arukAdo. (don't let it get to your head.)

Bump for final vote. I voted for arukAdo, for the same reasons I did in the initial vote.
