We did it!

This saves a sigificant amount of time by doing the cut scene mashing technique which can cut down on each cut scene by 12 frames each.

We're almost done the run. There are only two stages left

Saved 42 frames using strategies found in this movie: https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/639099233528499427

Might have lost some time in the resync effort in Stage X but I'll need to investigate that a bit.

It ends level one with 3:38 left on the clock vs 3:39 on the other movie, no idea how much emulation differences affect this change.

Edit: after a closer look, the first black frame after the fade-out if the first level, my movie ends on frame 11,984 where as the other movie ends on frame 12,022. So I'm about 34 frames faster, and I'm not sure how reliable the in game timer is after all

I’ve completed this stage based on a speedrun (visit the official website to watch the speedrun in Game Master). It will no doubt serve as a guide for me throughout this run.

In any case, I’ll try to find new routes or strategies using tool-assisted.

I’ll finish this soon and post this run. Enjoy :)
