The site now keeps track of and automatically generates award images on movie pages, forum posts, Homepages, and forum profiles. We hope to soon work it into the front page as well in the same way star movies are (a module with a way to list movies by award). Also starting with the 2009 Awards, Awards come with cash prizes! Every year TASVideos will donate 15% of all donations to the prize pool for Awards.

We had a generous donation of $50 towards our award prize pool (putting it up to $65). I redid the award amounts in the announcement post. I'm very thankful for this donation :)

The day you removed Mega Man 1 its star is when I pretty much lost all respect of this system.
I dislike the star system the most when the discussion turn into this. 1 movie you think has a star isn't starred and it is a loss of respect for the whole system? Chill out a bit man. Stars should be fun & rewarding. Baxter made the decision that the star list should maximize variety. MM1 & MM2 are very similar. Feel free to disagree with this, but at least give some credit that it was a reasonable decision that was thought out.

Why does it say "uses hardest difficulty"? How is this difficulty particularly used? Was there something wrong with the old "plays at hardest difficulty?
I wanted to avoid the word play in these classes. I think the act of the author "playing" these movies is a bit misleading (much more now then even in the past). is "uses" really that confusing? How about the word "Selects"?

I 2nd the nomination of arukAdo. This entire year he has been the most vigilant about trying out new experimental emulators. This was a big risk to him, and a big help for us in making these emulators better. I was impressed he was able to do so many good TASes of these new platforms.
