Well, after slacking off a bit I have newly updated the page with your suggestions and whatnot. I really appreciate the input. Feel free to let me know if I missed anything, or if you're an editor hop in and fix it yourself ;)

Alden, you forgot to change the link for the Megaman 1-6 run video (or maybe you just didn't notice the new one): http://files.filefront.com/meganewavi/;11399096;/fileinfo.html This one does not have the desync in MM3. EDIT: Super Mario Land 2 has a second submission (and now a publication). You should change the comment on the emulation glitched one to take note of this.

Excellent, thanks for those corrections. I also added the Tetris run bkDJ mentioned a while ago, and the alternate Color a Dinosaur run mmbossman mentioned a long while ago.

One nitpick at the moment: I don't think the Metroid Legacy run deserves to be in the Hacks section, since it is an accepted hack. Personally, I'd make a new section for cancelled runs, or else put it in "Not Optimal" based on what Cpadolf said.

Hey, for your Golden Oldies, would you approve adding the first Rescue Rangers movie? As the text notes, it's the first 2 player movie here, but since this was before two player recording, it tackled the problem in a very off-the-wall manner that reflected a "Just have fun with it" attitude.

Sounds good Ferret! I've been meaning to update both lists for a while now. Here's a list of proposed additions: #2069: turtle's GBA Screw Breaker - Goushin Dorirurero in 1:54:27.92 #2086: Bisqwit's NES Nuts & Milk in 15:47.87 #2076: Bisqwit's NES Yie Ar Kung-Fu in 01:50.75 #2085: Bisqwit's NES Nuts & Milk in 01:40.28 #2074: Blaze's N64 Super Smash Bros. 64 in 06:02.9 #2053: J.Y&Max's NES Saiyuuki World in 14:26.38 #2046: White Gastra's SNES Battletoads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team in 18:48.78 #2065: Highness's NES Gumshoe in 14:43.98 #2072: Bisqwit's NES Karateka in 08:42.87 #2056: alden's GB Minesweeper in 00:00, or in unknown #2059: adelikat's NES Hogan's Alley in 03:36.94 100% Super Metroid River City Ransom Rescue Rangers Oh, I snuck myself in there didn't I? There's also a couple that I believe are being actively improved that I didn't include since the list is getting unwieldy as is... Also, if you haven't seen it, and if I haven't self-promoted enough: http://tasvideos.org/Alden/Exhibitions.html

I still think the minesweeper in 28 frames should have gone in concept demos or something. First run that was encoded in an animated GIF.

For Extreme Luck Manipulation, I submit Zareon's unsubmitted run of Phantasy Star II.. No optional battles fought, and not a single point of EXP gained from the battles he DID fight.

So why wasn't it submitted? Thought it was too boring? Think I'll get things thrown at me if I submit it :D ?

Could someone reupload that MM1+2+3+4+5+6 video that doesn't desync in MM3?

I just rewatched Air Fortress. You have to appreciate how the little dude gets around mainly by firing his gun... too bad it's unwatchably long. ...Well, to most people. :)

A couple of good SNES movies: Virtual Bart Clue That Virtual Bart movie is one of the most entertaining ones I've seen lately. Too bad it was cancelled... EDIT: This Arcade game is nice too: Puzzle De Pon! R! (screenshot)
You're just fucking stupid, everyone hates you, sorry to tell you the truth. no one likes you, you're someone pretentious and TASes only to be on speed game, but don't have any hope, you won't get there.

Since I haven't updated this page in a long time I would like to see if anyone else is interested. Also, if some bored encoders or want-to-be-encoders are up to it it would be awesome to throw some encodes up on dailymotion (I have been planning to do this myself, but again, it hasn't happened.) I discussed with adelikat on irc a while ago about moving it out of my personal namespace, though I don't remember what he thought about that. Any thoughts on this? Thanks everyone for the suggestions and sorry for being lame.

I see no reason against it going outside of your namespace, it helps to have more then one persons opinion on it anyway.

I've changed the layout of the Gruefood Delight page (the new layout is based on Alden's ideas). But after this change was done, I saw this post, which stated that too many YouTube module should be avoided on a page (sigh, I should have thought about it before). On the other hand, YouTube has added an new option, enabling you to stop the downloading of a given video (just right-click on a video to make it appear). But will everybody think about that option ? So, what guys do you think ? Should the YouTube module be replaced by a screenshot of the run (a lot of them have still to be taken though) ? Anyway, a few more suggestions : - MUGG's GB Super Mario Land "walkathon" in 15:00.23 - FractalFusion's NES The Chessmaster in 00:07.12 - MUGG's GB Crayon Shin-Chan 4 in 07:10.83

Well, the only time that would make the page "heavy" is if one decides to watch all the videos. The embeds themselves are relatively light until you push the play button and begin streaming a video. It's also easy to unload the weight of several videos streaming (or even completely loaded) on a page: refresh. Of course, another way to do this is just have a screenshot and then a link to the YouTube page. The kind of embedding done by published movies could work too, if there is wiki code to make it work that way. Of course, all that does is not load the video players until you push the button. Watching all the videos that way will still give you the end result. I have no problem with how it is set up now anyway. I think most people realize that if you load several videos at once (or watch them one at a time and then just let them sit after watching them), your browser will slow down.

In my opinion, if it's not there yet, adelikat's N64 Elmo playaround certainly qualifies.

Holy crap, that looks great! Thank you Critical five! If you would like to keep at it, I think it ought to be moved here: http://tasvideos.org/Movies/GruefoodDelight.html At the same time it could be stripped of anything related to me; I have abdicated as maintainer obviously. And there are a lot of good suggestions for additions in this thread that have gone ignored! Thanks again!

If there's a demand for it (and there seems to be), I can handle the page move, which I think is long overdue.

While I'd suggest Somari for the delight, I feel that it'd be technically unethical due to the fact that I had a part in making the run... that, and people really do seem split on if the movie is worth anything or not... though, a majority of the haters seemed to dislike it due to game choice more than anything. So... yeah. Also, looking through some of my posts... bleh, I really didn't know how to post without looking like an idiot. Edit: More tooting my own horn, but I am pretty sure Thomas the Tank Engine counts as an April Fools submission enough to hit the list... still semi-surprised no one has considered pointing out to me where I ripped the submission text from.
