Dang, so many new rerecording emulators! I guess with all of them, you need a wishlist. Rayman (The GBA port stinks, and PCSX will not play the PS1 version) Sonic R (For the heck of it :-\) I'm not that into the Saturn, so I think you need to continue the list.
Lego is awesome!

Silhouette Mirage and Guardian Heroes, I guess. Saturn also has a lot of good shmups on it, although arcade versions are better in basically every case. (Haven't we had such a thread yet, though? I was pretty sure we had…)

I'll be testing Rayman later today. If it works... ^_^
A hundred years from now, they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills but never know my name. And that will be good enough for me.

No need to wish Legend of Oasis. I'll do it with or without Toothache. I tested it but there's some issues with loading savestates and resuming recording.

I wont be able to run a Saturn game on my ancient relic of a machine (its about 7 years old) but I'm saving up for a new PC that should have no problem. So for now, I will follow your progress carefully, and stick to less taxing emulators. As for my wishlist: Sonic 3D Flickies Island (aka 3D Blast) Mystaria: the Realms of Lore (would be better know as Blazing Heroes in US land) NiGHTS/Christmas NiGHTS Panzer Dragoon/Panzer Dragoon Zwei

Burning Rangers D Mega Man 8 100% (maybe? seeing 32-bits cutman and woodman would be nice) Norse by Norsewest: Lost Vikings 2 Street Fighter: The Movie
My first language is not English, so please excuse myself if I write something wrong. I'll do my best do write as cleary as I can, so cope with me here =) (ノಥ益ಥ)ノ

I'm not looking forward to all that much from the Saturn, but I really would like to see any of the Langrisser games get a TAS. I'm aware that I and II are available for older consoles (and would probably be easier to make a proper TAS with), but Der Langrisser is so much better/faster on the Saturn. Enemies don't spend an eternity thinking of where to move the cannon fodder. :P Though I have to admit, a TAS of Langrisser III would probably be amazingly stupid and boring.

I'd love to see a TAS of Clockwork Knight 1 and 2. Those are fun games that are very challenging.

Sonic Jam. Nah, I kid, I kid. Unless you REALLY want a Sonic 1 with spin dash.

There are a number of Saturn shooters which are visually impressive and would make for excellent "perfect" TAS runs. Some are original and some are arcade ports, but the best of the arcade ports are worth TASing on the Saturn since they may not play in FinalBurn. Thunderforce V Soukyugurentai/Terra Diver Keio Flying Squadron 2 Battle Garrega I also second Guardian Heroes and Silhouette Mirage.

You list 4 Saturn shooters and forget Radiant Silvergun? For shame.

Mainly graphics and music, though the special stages are completely different.

Before saying something like that, consider taking some time to envision how a Silvergun TAS would look like and how long would it be. Think about goal choices. Score? No, will make the game even longer. Swordplay? Been done. 100% kill? That's easy considering the abundance of weapons, and not impressive at all. 100% kill swordplay? Impossible due to ship speed. Playaround? Assuming you don't run out of ideas during the time, which you will (again, considering the ship speed). Either case, you have to damn like the game to tolerate an hour-long superplay made with the slowest ship in shmup history. Silvergun isn't be-all end-all of Saturn shmups. Try, uh, playing it, and comparing with other shooters available on the platform. In fact, fruitbane has a good taste. I'm pretty sure he didn't forget it, but rather purposefully didn't include it.

I dunno; that may be pretty interesting to see after all, considering what Tails and Knux have already done with said spindash. :p Or maybe a time attack on the Sonic World missions. I wonder how fast that last "collect all 100 rings" one could truly be done...playing unassisted, you usually just barely make it back in time. XD

I think that is quite possibly the first time I've ever been singled out for having good taste in a message forum. Thanks! ; ) I didn't think of RS, but I don't think it would be a great TAS title from an entertainment standpoint. It's not just fast enough.

You should note that some of the bugs are fixed when you apply spin dash. It's just Sonic 2 code attached to Sonic.

The main difference between the Genesis/Mega Drive version comes from the special stages, which are reminiscent of Sonic 2, and the entire soundtrack is different. Other than an obvious graphical upgrade, there is little to no difference in the main level design between both versions.

Oh, another idea for a great Saturn TAS would be Shinobi Legions. That game would be pretty rockin'.

never heard of the other games but battle garegga obviously works just fine in FBA. there isn't a whole lot that doesn't work, I think.

Street Figher Zero 3's reverse dramatic battle would be pretty awesome. It's 1 player vs. 2 CPUs, could do a lot of neat tricks with that, I think.

Most shmups, including Panzer Dragoon, are too fixed to be any impressive. I'd like to see a Darius 2 run, though, mainly because the difficulty is ridiculous on that one. And good choice on Keio Flying Squadron 2. It is actually a platformer with 1-2 shooting levels. The platformer part should be a blast to go through. Also, the game is superbly absurd, a lot of fun. Other ideas: - Saturn Bomberman - Scorcher (the last level is unplayably difficult)
