  • DDD: Board Bowser's Sub is improvable by about 1 second.
  • WDW: Express Elevator--Hurry Up! is improvable by 3 frames.

Baxter: This movie is full of entertaining TASing that is not present in the 0 or 120 star runs that allow BLJs. There is nothing wrong with choosing restrictions and goals that may appear slightly arbitrary, in order to show off an aspect of the game that is underrepresented in the published TASes or significantly different in some other way. This movie does this well, and is therefore accepted to be published alongside the 0 and 120 star runs.
How exactly this run should be labeled, or what restrictions would be superior is up for debate, but it does not negate the above judgement.
Aktan: Finally processing this...

It's not a silly vote because it doesn't agree with your opinion on the run. Remarks like those are among the reasons why people simply will not vote no or meh on runs, because if they do, they will get bashed by other, "more famous", users.
Last i checked, you are not required to explain your votes.

I do believe it helps the judges make a desicion. Last I checked, you weren't supposed to claim that other members made bad desicions and that their votes are silly and wrong.

Though it is expected/good etiqutte if your vote is no or meh, otherwise it will be more difficult for the judges to take it into consideration. As to the run, very enjoyable! I had to double take when I looked at the workbench this morning as I couldn't believe that a substantial SM64 run had actually reached completion without the need to incorporate new discoveries. Does this mean the flow of new discoveries is slowing down? Hopefully a new 120 star run doesn't seem like such a pipe dream anymore. My favourite star was Big Boo on the balcony, though hazy maze cave had a ton of cool stuff I hadn't seen before. Easy yes vote.

Wow, this run legitimately surprised me. SM64 has been played and TASed to death, but still there are new methods being found and used - Big Boo's Balcony, Wall Kicks Will Work, and Cruiser Crossing the Rainbow were all methods I hadn't seen before and look awesome! Easy yes from me.

Also, sub 1:30 on a 120 Star is MUCH more than feasible.
That's probably so, but it would still be twice as long as this one. I think this 70-star run has intrinsic value because it's not overwhelmingly long to sit through (although it's certainly pushing that limit). Categorize it as low-glitch or whatever.

Yes, star, possibly TAS of the year and may I please have a list of authors per stage? ;)

One thing I forgot to mention when I voted...I was disappointed at the lack of representation of some levels. You completely skipped Jolly Roger Bay, and took only two or three stars from a number of other levels. I understand you probably took the 70 fastest stars, but I'd've been happier with "4 stars from each level and then 10 secret stars." Of course, that's just my opinion.

- Was chests in the current and Navigating the toxic maze your best options? - I like the Boo snapshot by far more than the other ones. - Sub 1:30 for 120? Is that some kind of a joke? I would estimate at least a sub of 1:15. - Entertaining run with too many stars as highlights to point out.

A run that gets stars? Hellz yeah. Tick Tock Clock is by far my favorite. Smooth as butter.

Wow! Amazing run! Voting yes! Looking forward to the fastest 120 stars run (BLJ or not).

I was worried that it wouldn't be interesting enough to watch for 42 minutes without BLJs, but boy was I wrong. That was probably the most entertaining TAS I've watched and it didn't feel like 42 minutes at all. I still can't wait for a new 120 star TAS with BLJs, but I'm sure that won't be for a long while. (Also, I'd pick the boo screenshot.)

What the? Yes, Yes! Put me in the list of "guys waiting patiently for the 120 star run" though.

Excellent run, though it would be great if someone made a "cutsceneless" encode, as there seems to be about as much time spent watching the star collection as watching the actual gameplay :P Anyway, easy yes vote and one of the better runs I've seen this year.

This is just amazing. The number of authors is already mindblown. The rerecord count, they are worthy for the TAS. And the TAS itself is entertaining all the time. Its IMPOSSIBLE voting Meh or No on this one. Seriously.

First, it just collects 70 stars instead of 120, so the run feels incomplete.
That's because the minimum amount to beat the game without a major break (BLJing) is 70 stars. It's not some random number.
I know. All I'm saying is, I wished I could have seen all 120 stars, not just the required subset to finish the game. I'm pretty sure if this run is published that a 120 stars version will obsolete it right away.

As far as I know, BLJ is not a bug that destroys normal gameplay, so this run just feels like a step backwards for me.
Heh, you'd be surprised what it can destroy. Trust me.

I console verified this run. Whoever added all those random inputs after collecting the 10th star...please don't do that again; it made my little processor shut down every time I got to that part in the m64, haha. I just replaced them with blank frames, and it worked fine, but I'm still trying to figure out why those button presses shut it down.... Great job though, yes vote.

That was a big step in Super Mario 64 TASing history. Because 70 Star BLJLess, is how you can beat the game regular. I liked all parts in this wonderful TAS.
