Enemy spies have been sent to buy military weapon technologies from scientists all around the world. Indy must reach the meeting spot and prevent the spies leaving alive.
But Indy doesn't care about other technologies than that in England: "The hell, I worked my ass off glitching through buggy gear wheels and climbed all the way up to the top of Big Ben, so this time I could as well finish the opponent".
On hard difficulty enemy spies have 200 health, bomb does 25 and bullet 15 damage. So, normally a fight would require quite an effort.
Drowning(?) in lava in India takes two lives, but falling and running out of health costs one life. Indy can die in every boss battle as long as he doesn't run out of lives.
Any extra movement possibly creates lag if you wonder why Indy stands still sometimes.
Movie features:
  • Emulator used: GENS 11a
  • Hard difficulty
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Dies to save time
  • Kills an enemy spy to save time... errr... that got old already.
India
Marketplace
-Six things have to be hit to open the door
-Guard must be killed
Temple
-Six idols have to be knocked on their back
-Guard must be killed
Tibet
Nothing special here, suiciding at the end is 6.5 seconds faster than killing the enemy spy.
England
London Bridge
-Gearboxes must be bombed
-Axeman must be killed
Big Ben
The only boss faster to kill than suiciding. Bosses sometimes take multiple hits from bombs when moving and here he takes 7 hits.
Boss hp address: 00FFC5AF
Egypt
Desert
If Indy advances fast enough he can skip every second windstorm and save a huge amount of time. It's also important to fight against the wind and not get pushed backward much.
Pyramid
Indy must whip wheels to open lids on the ceiling and later lids on the floor.
Germany
The last stage is open when Indy has completed or failed in all previous countries.
0:39 - I have to fund my suiciding collecting some extra lives
1:07 - The item Indy collects makess his whip an Insta-kill-weapon
5:57 - It's important to take damage and actually not being slowed down much
6:37 - I didn't find hp address for "All-seeing-Eye", but I don't think any other strategy could beat it before it closes.
7:02 - Basement wheels are more resistant to whipping
7:32 - Extra life collected so I don't get game over when suiciding later
7:33 - I lose 21 frames taking intentional damage here. Otherwise I wouldn't die to first hit into spikes in boss room and I would have to wait a second to get damaged again.
8:06 - Jumping on zeppelin is a lot faster than programmers' intended route along the right side
8:58 - This escape act is missing someting... it's over in 3 seconds.

I'm getting a desync on this movie, in between hitting the third and fourth counterweights on the first stage.

Congratulations for finishing it, maTO! Your TASing skill has improved steadily over time and this is getting seriously impressive now. There were about 10 moments where I almost lolled. The pyramid level was a bit long, but most of the other levels were funny. Lots of surprising tricks were used throughout the movie and I didn't expect this much fun from such a clumsy and bad-looking game. Voting yes and looking forward to your next run! SPOILER ALERT, SCREENSHOTS AHEAD:

Welcome back Aqfaq! :) Where have you been? The game isn't bad-looking, it's BAD. But I hope also others than Aqfaq find the run enjoyable.

With all the glitches I think I saw, it was enjoyable =). It was especially funny to beat bosses via suiciding.

Wow, bad game made into an awesome run. Big Ben was awesome with the gear glitching. The suicide after climbing the Tibetan temple was hilarious: I imagine Indy going "I climbed all these levels for THIS?! That's it!" The only boring stage was the Pyramid. Good job maTO! EDIT: By the way, Priam, I got this to sync playing in Gens v11a, if that helps.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. Wow. If Indiana Jones had these kinds of superpowers as a child, that'd go a long way toward explaining how he eventually survived a long-distance flight propelled by a nuclear explosion with no more protection than an empty refrigerator. Just another day at the office for Super-Archaeologist! Also, total yes for a total WTF-filled run.

This seemed pretty well executed, i never played that game, the run was very fun, and there was many ackward moments, some zipping/warping too, voted yes, good job I just wonder but at some point (london?) you climb many many many times and at the top you just jump on the outside and fall all way down? that was a bug or its what your suppose to do? pretty mindblowing game, poor coding i think :p

Good to see a bad game get owned. This game is worth laughing at, and your run makes it even more hilarious. Technique-wise, I think you were doing very well. Yes vote now.
<klmz> it reminds me of that people used to keep quoting adelikat's IRC statements in the old good days <adelikat> no doubt <adelikat> klmz, they still do

heh, very funny movements in this game, the jumping alone is hilarious. The TAS itself looks very well done, I was impressed. :) Yes vote.

Wow, this game really is bad. But this TAS really is good. Voting yes. Also, thanks for the encode, Aktan.

You mean Tibet? Well, you have to reach the meeting point before suiciding. The boss battle, stopping the enemy spy, begins when you stand on a floor below the top floor. You can hear it from the change in music.

Meh. It's really hard to tell when this is being played well and when the game is just holding you back. The glitches and game abuse is good, but the game is terrible and seems like it plays too loose for me to judge it with a high degree of certainty. Also, is the music really really bad, or was that just the encode skipping beats?

I really enjoyed this clever run. Suiciding to get past boss fights is...unusual, I like it. I loved Indy's jumping graphics, though--it made the whole run seem like he was in "OW MY DAMN LEG HURTS" mode

I think the music is just really that bad, unless I had some bad settings in the emu...

Initially I wasn't sure this was a good game choice for TASing; the gameplay did not seem to me to be particularly compelling. However, there are just enough unusual tricks and glitches (suiciding at the bosses to save time; zipping using the gears in Big Ben) to keep this at least somewhat interesting and push this into a weak yes vote from me.

Not the best of games for a TAS, but there were enough tricks and quirky motion for a yes vote.

Inside the Egypt tomb & the tower in Tibet seems to be the most dull parts of the run for me. But it was fast! Yes vote My favorite part is Big Ben.

What an amazingly bad game. AVGN material. Nice TAS though.
