Yeah, you need one for the Gohma fight, funny thing is is that it might also be the last time you'll need the deku nuts. If not, at least you'll have the spare deku nuts for when you pick up your first one, right?

I tried it once, and wasn't able to keep coming at me enough times before he would just fly away and I'd be stuck in the air. The whole thing seemed really slow and really time consuming and didn't seem possible so I just gave up. But I could be wrong anyway, I didn't spend too much time on it

You are getting better! Sounds like an obsoletion of Bloobiebla's run is coming?

I couldn't get your run to sync. do you know what the rom name is? The one I am using is "Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time (U) (V1.0) [!]" Also, I suggest you watch JNX's rejected run, Groobo's run and PDot's rejected run for strategies if you haven't already. I haven't seen them, but only because I couldn't get them to sync. I would probably say that you will need to get under an hour in order to have your run published. And great work. You're improving very fast.

I use the rom you said i think i did it on the pause fix. Should i do a RBA or a 3 stomes 2 medalion run.

When I play it, it syncs to where you exit through the tunnel, then desyncs. I used the pause fix mupen and the exact same plugins. Are you sure you are using the same ROM? or is it (V1.1) or something. If you want my opinion, do whatever is the fastest. Complete the game in the fastest way possible with disregard to any other restriction. I actually haven't played OoT from start to finish, so I can't really help you with any route planning.

i would stay away form the RBA, it is already being worked on, and it looks like there in the route planning stage. i would go for an all dungeons run if i were you.

an MQ RBA? what did I just say? The run is ALREADY BEING WORKED ON. There would be no point for you to do it. On the other hand, the all dungeons need to be completed, so like you were already, work on the all dungeons run.

The "all dungeons" run has been done: http://tasvideos.org/2087S.html However, the any% is on hiatus because mupen64plus has not come out yet, and they need a soft reset. Mupen64plus will not be ready for quite a while, so you are quite safe doing an RBA run. It's like saying that I will do this TAS a year in the future. This literally means it is not being worked on. Reset recording mupen however, is readily available, but does not have the pause fix.

i thought he was working on an all dungeons run. it would be safe to obsolete that because there probably can be huge improvements to be made. which he has begun to make.

You aren't saying that there are huge improvements to be made on the any% run? The any% run on tasvideos is longer than the unnasisted run.

I think i'm a little confused. isnt the RBA the any% run? or is that a completly separate run?

These 2 runs were rejected for a reason. Nothing but the best will obsolete Guano's run, a standard which is being set by Bloobiebla, AKA, and SwordlessLink. Who are the ones working on the run. A run which will only be doable once record-reset and the pause fix are present in an acceptable emulator. Which as soon as it comes, the trio will finish it. The problem also with the all temples run is twofold. 1) MrGrunz also has plans on obsoleting Bloobiebla's after he finishes Majora's Mask. and 2) the boss door can be skipped in every single temple. Which, in my opinion, completely ruins all the fun, and more importantly, the POINT, of doing an all temples run. Edit: any% is the title Guano's currently holds. A new any% would use the RBA glitch to beat it faster.

I've just discovered, how to get past the boulders in zora's river without bombs, so we can buy some magic beans, plant them at lake hylia and go to the fishing pond without the hookshot, which could save a good amount of time ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alaNDJq_5ug
