Since it’s unlikely that there will be an award for TAS of the decade, I figured just a thread for this would be good enough. What do you think is the best TAS of the Decade? (If you list your own movie you’re a loser)

I know that my pick here is an extremely late pick but I am confident in saying this one is my favorite: http://tasvideos.org/6555S.html

Did the decade start in 2010 or 2011 for the purpose of this thread?
Current Projects: TAS: Wizards & Warriors III.

2010 movies count since it’s the start of the decade.

Why are you leaking the nominations for the actual award? /s

Contrary to popular belief, award nominations do not consist of my list of personal favorites. Nominations are actually Nach's list of personal favorites /s

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ivGNZs_Mvw I haven't watched it fully yet, but this would be an easy pick for me. The TAS of American Dad is also very good. Please don't ban me.

My personal nomination is the 1-Key Super Mario 64 TAS.

I think in terms of net amount of entertainment given to myself and other people, this has to have my vote too.

And this one is my personal guilty pleasure. I can't get enough of 'this is hard to even beat in TAS' difficulty levels.

It actually really isn't that hard to beat in TAS, considering the player character can be made invincible at any time (which the TAS very liberally makes use of)

Good call, this is also a really entertaining movie. It has a perfect mix of action and (unintentional) comedy, thanks to the game's odd boss monologues.

I don't know why that's sarcasm. Everyone knows I use mind control in order to determine the nominations. For some reason though I just happen to agree with your list, what a coincidence?

Because how would you go about it? Obviously we aren’t going to make it where you can nominate any moons or stars movie from the past decade, and the other way we could do it is by using all the previous TAS of the year winners, though honestly that would just be a bunch of mario movies going against each other (since I think most of the winners are mario movies). Im not against the idea of a tas of the decade award, but it realistically cant be done without having issues.

This is correct, and it is mostly not hard as a result. However, there's 1 frame between piledrives (4 frames between counters) where you are vulnerable, and this makes dodging some of Mecha Santa's attacks non-trivial, since they fill the screen THAT much. Notably, a previous person tried to make a TAS of it for the hell of it, and got stuck (as in, couldn't finish) on Mecha Santa.
