  • Wily Machine = 0
Wily 6 - 6 frames were gained due the randomness of pixel-position Wily alien – 0

About my working etc. ( I have spent over 2 years playing Rockman2 and trying to ”study” how everything works correctly)
I decided to work myself this time and I really enjoyed my time while making this. I'm a really big fan of Rockman / Mega Man games, like my friend AngerFist :)
Thanks for everyone who have ”supported” me and watched my special WIPs Special thanks goes to FinalFighter who discovered Crashman and Woodman stage death abusing techniques and to Bisqwit for being nice and helping me out if I asked something :)
About the run ”small talk”
Most of the improvements came from Woodman & Crashman ”death abusing techniques” (glitches saved around 400 frames / 6,66 seconds)
I have told this thing many times in IRC but I need to say it because everyone need to know what happens in my movie. In this movie randomness and frame rule tries to ruin my gameplay *sobs*
NOTE ! I copypasted Bisqwit's insane Wily2 boss fighting.
Please enjoy this stuff !

Bisqwit: Submission file replaced from author's partial remaking. It's now 76 frames faster.
Bisqwit: Accepting (again, Shinryuu had deleted the previous accepted marker), and processing.

Well, actually, Bisqwit was talking of something like 3 seconds, not 4 frames…
Yep, 4 frames would be a more realistic estimate though :) I was giving the "if the world was perfect and the moon was brighter" type estimates.
Glad to see this statement disproven, and hooray for the man's victory over the machine! :D

Shinryuu, I'm extremely impressed. You managed to improve this already tightly optimized run by a whole 7 seconds. And without the aid of Bisqbot. A yes vote of course.

Rockman 2 is one of my favorite of the series so this movie is easily taken in as I gladly watched it. Superior optimization is all I can see throughout this movie and I'm sorry you lost ~19 frames because of the randomness. It's very entertaining all the way through so I did enjoy it very much. Congratulations on such an improvement, it was fun to see. You know you're getting my yes vote.

Indeed. A 7 second improvement with the use of new glitches on rockman2 is pretty good. The death glitch's were perfmormed perfect. Nice work Shinryuu!(I also say nice work to the helpers who made this improvement possible) Yes vote.

I was suprised to read the frame savings of each level. It felt like so much more. Over all this run seems much more polished over the previous run. So many little details were thought through. The death glitches were awsome. First mm now rm2 have death as a shortcut, crazy. (yes vote)
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects

So I guess that thing I heard about Crash Bombs's explosion killing Quick Man in one hit isn't true? Look at my hand, I just threw something!

I liked the previous version, and I liked this better. Yes vote. Plus, this game has the best music stage of any Megaman game that I've seen- Bubbleman stage!

Yeah, I guess I did fail to add a "given present knowledge of the game" clause to my estimate, or iow. "unless a new technique is discovered", which was. Congratulations for the frame improvements in each stage, Shinryuu.

I like this. The zipping through walls causing crazy bugs is just great. Would-be yes. Definately.

Xaphan you have done great work on MMZ GBA games you should be proud of it :) i don't know i am 99% sure there shouldn't be any big or even little improvements in my run "i saved 7.01 seconds more than current published movie" expect randomness what i wasn't able to manipulate and yes this is going to be boring if there is no more improvements in Mega Man runs :| "Mega Man/Rockman runs are heading to destruction" thanks for your commenting - Shinryuu

Somehow, you managed to avoid the splash animation at the end of Bubbleman stage before the Wily door. Weird. So you did not utilize Item1 trick in Wily3 after all (right after the robotic fishes). Why's that? Congratulations on improvements in Wily4. It pays off to think differently.
