Metroid: Zero Mission is a retelling of the original Metroid's story with a couple of new plot twists and updated gameplay.

This movie improves on the previous attempt by the same author by 12 in-game seconds and 34 seconds of real time. It was achieved by using a different route (killing Ridley before Kraid), allowing more efficient time-saving tricks and skipping an elevator cutscene.

The in-game clear time is 0:21:27. The item collection rate is 21%.

Samus's first adventure is retold in Metroid: Zero Mission with extra storyline, extra items and on a system with a better graphics processor. This run completes the game with 100% item collection. At least as far as the end-of-game display is concerned.

This is an improvement of 00:35.70 seconds, over Dragonfangs's previous movie. The improvements come mainly from greater optimization in movement and better ammo management. Unlike the previous author, Cpadolf aimed for lowest real time, finishing the game in 42:07 on the in-game timer.
