[14:15] <feos> WinDOES what DOSn't
12:33:44 PM <Mothrayas> "I got an oof with my game!"
Mothrayas Today at 12:22: <Colin> thank you for supporting noble causes such as my feet
MemoryTAS Today at 11:55 AM: you wouldn't know beauty if it slapped you in the face with a giant fish
[Today at 4:51 PM] Mothrayas: although if you like your own tweets that's the online equivalent of sniffing your own farts and probably tells a lot about you as a person
MemoryTAS Today at 7:01 PM: But I exert big staff energy honestly lol
Samsara Today at 1:20 PM: wouldn't ACE in a real life TAS just stand for Actually Cease Existing
I added some of the requested runs along with some other fun AFD submissions. Apparently dozens of DailyMotion's thumbnails expired(?) so I also replaced those with their archive.org equivalents.
There are a few runs that have no encodes at the moment. Some may have been automatically set to Private by YouTube, so we might first want to contact each of the uploaders and see if they can fix it on their end (thanks Dekutony for doing this for NES Pocket Monster). If not, we might need helpers to re-encode these videos on their own channel(s).
As of April 2025, there's one Gruefood Delight entry with no encode:
#5073: Samsara's Windows Minecraft "game end glitch" in 05:11.35
EDIT: Actually, Samsara says in the author's comments that the joke died with the loss of the encode. She may be the one to ask, but is there any benefit to keeping this run on GD now?
How about adding this one to the Technical Foul section?
#7009: itsPersonnal's GC SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom in 39:53.67
Like Metroid Prime, which is already on the page, 7009S was a highly anticipated run that ran into sync issues. It's a good TAS of a good speedgame, and people may come to the site looking specifically for it. Gruefood Delight would be a good place to do so, especially since Metroid Prime is already there.
I started encoding runs from Gruefood Delight to replace encodes with rough quality and that have been taken down from YouTube.
Encodes I've uploaded so far:

You know, on the topic of the Somari submission, there are two things that kind of bother me in the rejection reasons: well, first of all, it's poorly optimized and I'm not disputing that, but this is a bootleg Sonic game, so it should have been judged off of the standard that Sonic submissions have (as far as I'm aware) always used of In-Game Time. And secondly, "This is probably a bad game choice."? Ehmmmm.... no? Even based off of the standards back then, Somari is an inherently notable and interesting NES game, even if it's a bootleg of dubious quality and polish. And I'm 99% sure that a properly optimized run could easily pass on today's site, but I have to wonder if that sort of opinionated comment on "bad game choice" might be a factor in turning people off who might otherwise record a run for it. Something to consider....
Reiterating my above post, as the aforementioned submission has now been published and several other submissions on the page are either published or are in the process of being published.
I removed this run, and any others that were made redundant by now-published branches of the same game that improve on them. Also added encodes and more AFD runs, including for 2023—2025. 2024 was difficult; of its four non-published AFD submissions, two are inPlayground, and one is mostly flashing lines, tape noise, and printed text. This leaves one entry for the page: Paper Mario bluescreen%. Which is a notable run, but I had to include a disclaimer to strongly recommend against playing back the input file; if needed, anyone can edit this disclaimer to improve the wording.
More runs getting published and less sent to Gruefood is a good thing in general, just not for a page meant to showcase Grue'd runs. 2025, though, should have a few more good TASes to add after judging of the backlog is done. To help speed up this long process, any Editor or Staff can play back a Workbench TAS, then Catalog it, check the Sync verified box, and list any tips needed to get it to sync. This removes the need for a judge to verify sync themselves. Experienced forum members can also apply to become Reviewers, who give detailed feedback to help inform judges to make a decision. And if you qualify to be a Reviewer, you can try applying to be a Judge as well.
Also, I didn't see criteria for GD inclusion listed anywhere, but it could go something like:
Notable or entertaining to most TASVideos members, if not to a majority of the audience (e.g. Color a Dinosaur)
Inclusion should weigh what the TAS adds to the game, not just the game itself. Anyone can look up regular videos of the game/hack.
Can't share a branch of a game with a published run, as this makes a GD entry redundant.
Later-banned users' runs are allowed, unless we start hiding their published runs too.
Here are some runs I considered, but held off on for the reasons listed below.
2022:
#7391: EZGames69's PSX Play with the Teletubbies "all activities" in 17:16.87 - A little long for the content there is, and all the entertainment comes from the game's absurdity rather than the included input, which a normal playthrough would also provide. Contrast with Elmo's Letter Adventure on GD for both points, and presumably Pokémon Turky for the latter point, though its author's comments don't make this clear. May be publishable though if the input issue is figured out.
#9623: EZGames69's SNES Mega Man X "Dashless" in 03:40.25 - On the surface, similar to MM2 "buster only", which I added for its unique gameplay. However, this MMX one follows the any% route and doesn't fully explore its goal like the MM2 one does. Other levels are possible to complete without dashing, and this doesn't play those.
