SMario+ is a difficult Super Mario Bros. ROM hack created by AC3U1/U1 in 2002, taking all of the levels from the original game and ramping the difficulty up immensely, though with the intention of being beatable without "cheats" or emulator tools (but savestates are encouraged if need be).
Think of it as Kaizo Mario World before the original in 2007 (though more obscure, since it originates primarily from Japan).
On a post-completion playthrough, a rideable platform appears in World 4-2, allowing you to reach a secret "Parallel World" (which is World 52). But be warned as, much like the levels in the hack you've seen before, this one's difficulty is not to be taken lightly.
Due to it being a part of World 4-2's underground warp zone, the Parallel World can be entered early in World 1-2 by warping while preventing the proper warp zone from being loaded (a practice seen in the original to enter the Minus World). This is where I come in to steal the spotlight, blazing through World 52... 52 frames (0.86 seconds) faster than my nine-year-old run! lol.
(So... 21 frames saved each in World 1-1 and World 1-2, and 10 frames saved in World 52-1.)

You can download the IPS patch for this hack here.
There is also a run of the TAS-tricks-required version, SMario- (マリオマイナス), if you're itching for more ridiculously difficult level design action.
An "8-4%" TAS of this hack can also be seen here.
