By manipulating the first enemy to rush me while use Cornelius's Sing move, I can inherently crash the game using a method of chaos, which in turn will boot me back to the title screen via a non-possible button combination in a real time setting.

Movie Goals?

•Bizhawk 2.9
•Goes for "Playaround" (Hard Crash with very specific button combinations)
•Uses 1 Player
•Uses Easy Mode
•Manipulates Enemy Pattern RNG

This run broken down.

•The movement will start on frame 1444 up until frame 1457 with this string of input: RRRRRRRRRRRRRR
•After this the string of input is: LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLUUU from frame 1458 to 1485
•I will continue to hold L for 14 frames.
•On frame 1500 I press R+B this will initiate a kick move which knock down the guard enemy. The guard enemy has to be a certain distance away in order to start the rush attack.
•On frame 1501 I press L
•On frame 1513 I press A
•I wait for 83 frames and press and hold L for 11 frames
•I press and hold R for 29 frames
•On frame 1636 I press LLL
•On frame 1639 I press RRR
•On frame 1642 I press LLL
•On frame 1645 I press RRRRRRR
•On frame 1651 I press LLLLL
•On frame 1656 I press R
•On frame 1657 I press LL+RLRLLR
•On frame 1661 I press RRRRRRRR
•On frame 1669 I press LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
•On frame 1729 I press LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
•On frame 1748 I press UUU+R+LLLLLL+l to sing
this will boot me back to the title screen with messed up Copyright messages.
repurposing this same input action will just cause another hard crash except this time NOT to the title screen.

Possible Improvements

yes? This is the first go, so anything could happen to end being faster.

okay, I think it's optimized, with these current strats.

Movie Goals

•Emulator Used: Bizhawk 2.8
•Game Difficulty: Easy (1 star = fastest)
•Uses 2 Players
•Beats the 1 Player movie by 31.52 seconds (or under its own "2 Players" tab) either is fine
•Takes Intentional Damage to Save time
•Manipulates RNG
•Abuses Programming Errors
•Goes for Fastest Completion Time
•Genre: Beat'em Up

What's Faster?

2 Players. While I've done a movie already that uses only 1 player, this new movie uses 2 players. The 2-player version is 31.52 seconds faster overall, using an all-out attack on enemies and bosses alike. While it's known that 2 players can always be better than it's 1 Player counterparts I didn't suspect it to be at first. However, over the course of trying multiple different ways to improve individual screens and bosses, it came out to be a lot faster.

What are the Character Choices?

There are 5 Stone Protector Characters available in a set game of 2. While not all of them are fast and or strong, there are at least two that have both fast attributes and strong attributes. Cornelius the Samurai, as seen in my 1 Player movie, can use his Mic Toss to inflict damage on bosses and enemies while facing away, and using his Vocal Reverb in the opposite spot that I can face is faster overall. For Player 2, I use Chester the Wrestler. Chester is slow while walking but can pick up speed quickly by using his closeline thunder crush attack. Just like 1 Player, I can use Chesters C.T.C to inflict damage when facing away or towards an enemy. Chesters C.T.C only takes 21 frames in total so it's right for the job.

Why punch Attack on the Bosses?

This is mostly for RNG and positioning. While using the katana knife can inflict more damage instead of punching, I do this because otherwise the attack would be blocked, or just straight up missing entirely. Chesters punches still do a lot of damage so I also do that as well with the same purpose.

Mic Toss does a lot more damage I thought is this still true?

While Mic Toss does a lot of damage, it doesn't do it quickly, which is why I was able to improve this time so drastically. Mic Toss is good for certain occasions, like on boss 1, because the RNG is optimized and punching or using the katana knife would be slower. Mic Toss is still used, but, not for bosses.

Do Gems take extra time to collect? If so why collect them?

Gems won't take up time as long as either player hasn't collected any more than 2K points worth of gems. Picking up gems is faster only because of enemy positioning, otherwise, I will have to wait longer for them to stop blocking. I pick up all the 'required' gem spots to gain an advantage otherwise it be impossible or slower. _

Levels:

•Snowy Village: same as the 17:01 movie, not a way to improve here.
•Crystal Mine: Heavily improved on the boss fight here, and implemented more Mic Toss hits into the first two possible ways. Made the fight a lot faster.
•Downward: Better optimized boss fight used Thunder Crush (C.T.C) earlier with some earlier Katana hits to save time.
•Beach Party: Faster boss fight used. Got rid of the Mic Toss in favor of quicker Katana hits. Closer range with C.T.C as well.
•Forest of Mythrandir: Stayed the same from the 17:01 movie, the impeccable boss pattern I couldn't refuse to use.
•Bizarre Bizzare: Faster Frank fight, closer ranged attacks.
•Approaching the Castle: Faster Zink 2 fight saved some frames.
•In the Castle: Dramatically improved the fight here. Instead of hitting Sucker Puncher mid-air, just use the previous strat seen on Zink 2 and Frank. Saved a lot of time here.
•The Lab: Easily the best improvement here, impeccable boss RNG.
•The Lair: 21 frames saved from the 16:51.00 movie.

Possible Improvements?

As far as I can tell, there are no serious ways to improve this. There would need to be some game-breaking thing to make this faster than it already is. 16:50 was a dream goal, and I managed to get there.

Final Thoughts:

I'm happy with how this turned out. I worked hard to make this as good as it can possibly be. I crushed the 17:22 1 Player movie by over half a minute, so I'd say I'm satisfied with this as is.

Finally, sub 17 minutes, and with two players no less! Very happy with getting this time below the 17-minute mark.
Some improvements came from not imploring singing on some of the bosses, and manipulating RNG to have them come out sooner, and hit earlier.

Levels 1-4 in 5:49 Input Stops after pressing Start on the gem count screen for level 4
  • Level Notes have a very slight chance to change, depending on if I can figure out improvements*
  • This is 1-4 and counts more for a reference, not only for me to decide what to fix, but, also for the reader to know what's happening*

Level Notes

  • Level 1: Frostbite ~ Same as usual throughout just like it's shown in the 1 Player version. Chester is the 2nd player I control, so the boss fight is 155-ish frames faster.
  • Level 2: Crystal Mine ~ Using 2 players as an advantage, I can defeat each enemy much quicker by utilizing Cornelius's Mic Toss and Chester's 'Missile Dropkick'. Defeating every other enemy is practically the same as player 1. The boss which is the Stone Extractor/Gem Extractor turns from a movable object to an immovable. Having Chester punch and having Cornelius use Mic Toss does massive damage in a very quick and short time, one other factor Chester has is his punches which is his special weapon.
  • Level 3: Downward ~ Straightforward level, in which enemies drop down from above. TBF I didn't test if the Missle Dropkick works more effectively here, but, for now, I use Closeline Thunder Crush throughout. While the player 1 version has to manage 3 enemies at once by using a 'slower' move, 2 players can utilize the difference by splitting up the cost of defeating each individual enemy, faster. Lava Boss was quicker this time around, I found that I can do the Mic Toss glitch like in player 1, and now I can use Chester's Closeline to also make the Lava Boss take damage, which will cause double damage in 1 go. I do take intentional damage from the boss to get in a mic toss glitch and thunder crush to do the rest of the damage, and a Missle Dropkick to finish off.
  • Level 4: Beach Party ~ Level 4 starts out just like the player 1 version, however, I change up the killing of the 1st screen enemy to advance the screen while the enemy is blinking out of existence. Most of the level is practically the same. Tackle Jackle *not Tackle Jackal* is stuck in such a way that I can utilize both characters' heavy-hitting moves, without actually hitting the boss, thus for a super quick fight.
  • Level 2 Info: Timing each hit with Cornelius's Mic Toss and Chester's Missle Dropkick is important since killing each enemy in unison is extremely important. You don't want one enemy down while waiting for the other to be done. It's not only faster but, also looks somewhat cooler.*

There is still room for improvement, but I was certain that this couldn't be faster than the 1 player version, but somehow it still is regardless of the double gem count screen totals. I am not deterred by it being faster, but, still amazing that it can be. Let this be its own separate thing from its 1P counterpart, as I still want to make this as good if not better than the 1P TAS by about 15 seconds or so since now it's known to be faster.
This is a "Let's work from here, and see what's improvable" which is what I did for a long while with 1P

Character Choices

  • Cornelius ~ Seen in the 1 Player Version, Cornelius has a wide range of weaponry that helps quite a lot in terms of going fast, the only drawback to Cornelius is that his fists/Feet don't hit quite as hard as his Mic Toss or Ultra Sonic Reverb
  • Chester ~ While slow-moving, Chester has a move called Thunderin' Closeline Crush, which will primarily be used in this 2 player version. Chester Shares this move with Maxwell, but, unlike Maxwell, Chester's variation hits way harder. This move only requires 4 frames to activate and lasts a very short time, which is why I can spam it like crazy. This move requires RR/LL + RR to activate, and reverse with rr to do it the opposite way.

  • 48 frames were saved
  • Any more time save?
  • Unsure at this current time, but, probably not, at least with the current strats. If there is somehow a screen wrap, that would be a big-time save
  • Level 1: 5770 (29 frames can be saved, but, worsens the boss fight, which causes it to be slower by about 50 frames)
  • Level 2: 10608 (none here)
  • Level 3: 15735 (2 or 3 frames can be saved before the boss, but, makes the boss fight worse)

there are 214 frames to save still, however, the problem is with the level 9 boss. The RNG to the initial fight was fine, but, saving those frames changes the fight for the worse it seems, might still be faster if I somehow figure out a good enough pattern, but still more testing needs to be done with that. Probably if figured out, the time would be closer to 17:22
This could be sooner rather than a later thing.

16 frames were saved on level 1, and 73 frames were saved on level 7, with a total of 89 frames saved. Everything else stayed the same since it was still fast.

Movie Goals:

  • Uses Bizhawk 2.8
  • Uses Easiest Difficulty
  • Goes for Fastest Completion
  • Manipulates RNG
  • Takes Damage to Save Time
~
  • Genre: Side-Scrolling Beat 'em Up
Story:
A group of rock band members gets turned into superhuman troll-like people, known only as of the Stone Protectors, formally Rock Detectors. The premise is that the evil leader Zok stole all the crystals from the castle and wants to use them for himself. The premise is to defeat Zok and his army of predators to take back the crystals and bring them to the castle.
Levels:
  • Snowy Village: Enemies are the weakest here and are basically an introductory level to the player. Zink is defeated differently, in the older movies from before. I ghost Zink’s health bar by standing next to him and getting inside the hitbox. I have to utilize punches to barely do enough damage. The punches are used to change the way Zink will interact with me, the most favorable RNG is the ax swing either overhead or in a circular motion. The final result is ending on frame 5782 saving 16 frames.
  • Crystal Mine: Crystal Mine is a weird stage, for starters, after a screen transition it’s oddly faster to sometimes wait a certain number of frames before moving onto the next screen. I can only assume it is a loading issue. Zink is yet again the boss, but, this time on the gem extractor machine, which it’s purpose is to extract the gem from the stone protector at play. However, the mic toss move makes fine work of the machine in a short amount of time.
  • Downward: One of the first 'stationary' stages, where enemies fall down from above. The neat thing about this stage is that utilizing the mic toss move is a lot easier than waiting out to use the sing move, plus it’s a lot slower at least in some instances to use the sing move. The only useful way sing is used, is if 3 enemies are together. Lava Boss basically gets no chance at moving at all, with a small mixture of jumping, but, it actually helps the situation out.
  • Beach Party: The majority of level 4 has stayed the same, however, a small change is at the second glider enemy. Swinging the mic right under the landing spot depletes the health of the enemy a little bit, and swinging again defeats them. It’s a lot faster than waiting to swing to the right and use the sing move. Tackle Jackle doesn’t really do much, I basically make him immobile and I defeat him with ease.
  • Forest of Mythrandir: stage 5 is different from most of the stages. Enemies will fall out of trees and act like glider enemies in a way. RNG changes depending on how close or how fast the sing move is used and how close it’s used. Some enemies are tougher than others and changing RNG in my favor helps. Wraith is fought when it’s practically invisible, so it looks like I’m swinging at air. Wraith travels in a line that’s close enough to swing, so it works out perfectly.
  • Bizarre Bazaar: Stage 6 just like stage 5 has a lot of tougher enemies that have enough health that a normal mic toss once won’t finish them off. The strategy of mic toss and swinging inside of the hitbox of the masked guards and then letting a sing move come out, which will kill them. Hitting them normally front-facing is slower because you would have to wait for them to finish the fall animation. Frank basically goes AFK the entire fight, so defeating him is the easiest thing.
  • Approaching the Castle: A lot of the mic toss move hitbox jank is used here as seen in previous stages. A neat little sprite glitch happens with the plane enemy, it's to sing and have the animation of the plane fly overhead. Zink is yet again the boss, but, he’s back and meaner than ever. An improvement was made here to save 73 frames.
  • In the Castle: In the Castle is basically stage 3, but, instead of going down, it’s traveling upwards. The enemies still will fall down from above, but, from little alcoves in the walls. Sucker Puncher is basically AFK just like Frank, except he’ll throw some punches that’ll be dodged from time to time, to manipulate RNG in my favor.
  • The Laboratory: The Laboratory has seen significant changes over the past movies compared to this movie. This level has gone through a lot and for the better. A lot of the strategies are the same, with a few exceptions like using the mic toss on the solo guard near the food and changing the RNG pattern of Predatron to kill him a lot faster.
  • Zok’s Lair: Some minor changes were implemented here. Some mic toss interactions are used instead of sing. Moving the screen transition more so that the next screen can be done with an extra enemy *although not always faster*. Zok was the most interesting of the boss fights, due, to a couple of factors. For starters, getting Zok to not vanish with his disappear move had me make some different changes to the fight compared to the other movies. Secondly, Zok has a 'gun' and a staff that of which both have lingering hitboxes, so utilizing getting around those is the most difficult. In the end, Zok was defeated quicker by 50 frames, and thus I got the 17:29 time.

The final result is ending on frame 5798
He has more health than stage 1, but, defeating him is basically the same.

Yo, DUDES! ROCK'N SCROLLLLLLLLL!

  • SLAM INTO THE STONE ZONE FOR A WILD BATTLE OF THE BANDS. IT'S YOU AND THE REST OF THE STONE PROTECTORS AGAINST THE EVIL ZOK AND HIS WHOLE SUCKY GROUP. YOU GET TO PLAY CLIFFORD. CORNELIUS. CHESTER MAXWELL. OR ANGUS. MAKE SPECIAL MOVES AND ATTACKS IN SCROLLING 16-MEG. SOLO OR TWO AT A TIME. AND GO FOR A MONSTER HIT BEFORE THEY BLOW YOU OFF THE STAGE. YOU'VE GOT COOL WEAPONS TO FIGHT WITH, 10 LEVELS TO EXPLORE, AND A WHOLE GARAGE FULL OF POWERUPS. SO GRAB YOUR AXE AND LET'S JAM!

What are Stone Protectors?

  • Stone Protectors is a 1993 British/American/French multi-media entertainment property consisting primarily of an action figure line and animated series. The series also had a tie-in video game released for the Super NES. It served as a late attempt to market the troll doll craze of the early 1990s to young boys. While not particularly successful, nor inspired by a prior medium, Stone Protectors generally followed in the same vein as contemporaries including Toxic Crusaders, Swamp Thing, and the highly popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Who Are the Stone Protectors?

  • A kingdom built of crystals came under attack by the reptilian troll-like Saurians whose leader, Zok, desired the powerful crystals protected by the Empress. Zok broke into the castle and reached for the crystals only to see them explode into pieces and fly to Earth. After being thrown out the back door of a New York City club, an awful rock band known as the Rock Detectors found the five magical stones which gave them troll-like appearances and special skills (not the least of which is playing good music). This put them at odds with the music-hating Zok and his henchman Zink, collectively known as The Protectors.

Which Character Will You Be Playing As?

  • Cornelius. In short, he has the fastest moveset, both with a 5 frame window. Both of his moves have really good range and do a lot of damage fast.

Special Moves

  • Twist Me Scream
  • Mic Toss

How Special Moves are Used

  • Corneilus can input the Twist Me Scream at 5 frames: UUR^L, l/UUL^R, l
  • Cornelius can input the Mic Toss at 5 frames: DR^DDL, r/DL^DDR, r
  • Cornelius moves kind of jerkily, but, makes up for it in the swagger walk

Glitches?

  • I am Not really sure if it should be classified as a glitch, but, I can use the mic toss to hit bosses without actually hitting them physically. I refer to this as a "phantom hit". This 'Glitch' can be seen in fights such as Tackle Jackal, Predatron & Zok. This allows me to get extra hits in quicker than if I used the "Twist Me Scream" or the combo hits. Although not always as effective as the combo hits, which can be seen in such fights as Lava Boss & Frank.

Per Level Thoughts

  • Level 1: Still amazed I was able to even save time here, albeit 5 frames, but, still faster.
  • Level 2: Found out that stalling for a little bit saves time, which doesn't really make any sense. Had a better boss fight, which was optimized just right.
  • Level 3: 20 frames saved game time, 0 frames saved TAS time.
  • Level 4: Managed to get the Phantom Hits in on Tackle Jackal, which gives me the quickest kill
  • Level 5: Killed Wraith quicker and when Wraith was 98% invisible.
  • Level 6: Played this little back and forth game with Frank called: Miss Me With that Stab
  • Level 7: Kept the same, as Zink's pattern was too good to pass up.
  • Level 8: Got some phantom hits in and saved even more time as a result.
  • Level 9: Kept the same, the boss pattern from Predatron was unlike any other, and changing anything about the stage being played results in different patterns from the boss. I tried to make it better, but, couldn't and I was the one that did it.
  • Level 10: Zok's pattern was also really nice, and I got the phantom hits in that I needed.

Theme Song From the Cartoon

Each Individual Stone Protector

  • Cornelius, the group's leader, holds the greenstone and became a samurai with an assortment of appropriate weaponry (katana, shuriken, and a pair of nunchaku made of microphones). He is the band's lead singer but also plays the guitar.
  • Chester holds the red stone, became an expert at wrestling, and received great strength. He plays the bass guitar and saxophone.
  • Clifford holds the bluestone and became a "rock climber." He is the band's drummer.
  • Angus holds the yellow stone and became a "soldier" and an expert at turning mundane objects into weapons. He plays the keyboard. Angus ostensibly built up the Protectors' bizarre attack vehicles from things like barbecues and lawnmowers.
  • Maxwell holds the orange stone and became an "accelerator" with in-line skates. He plays the guitar.

Which Character Will You Be Playing As?

  • Cornelius. In short, he has the fastest moveset, both with a 5 frame window. Both of his moves have really good range and do a lot of damage fast.

Special Moves

Per Level Thoughts

  • Level 1: Still amazed I was able to even save time here, albeit 5 frames, but, still faster.
  • Level 2: Found out that stalling for a little bit saves time, which doesn't really make any sense. Had a better boss fight, which was optimized just right.
  • Level 3: Changed up the enemy kill pattern, saved 20 frames game time, but, still saved 0 frames TAS time.
  • Level 4: I was actually going insane here, Tackle Jackal wouldn't give me the 'best pattern' so I had to input just right to get that pattern. OTHERWISE, he would either: throw rocks, jump at me, or hand tackle me.
  • Level 5: Kept the same, due to the fact that Wraith gave me an awesome pattern I couldn't bother to improve.
  • Level 6: Kept the same, as there wasn't a real reason to mess with the way Frank allowed me to get the stun hit. I tried improving the boss fight, but, couldn't get the same pattern as I had previously, so I just kept the same pattern.
  • Level 7: Kept the same, as Zink's pattern was too good to pass up.
  • Level 8: Improved here by 20 frames, faster enemy kills by being closer.
  • Level 9: I was beside myself when I realized that I couldn't see anyone going out of their way to improve the boss here. The pattern was really crazy. Improving here would really be crazy difficult.
  • Level 10: Zok's pattern was also really nice, and I got the phantom hits in that I needed. I fixed the fight here and saved 211 frames.

Theme Song From the Cartoon

  • Twist Me Scream
  • Mic Toss

Author Filler:

  • I've protected the stones faster than ever before.

Note:

  • Not sure why it says (Proto) probably for Prototype, but, the game is complete, so, unsure.

2nd Note:

  • Credits will loop forever
Stone Protectors JPN Name: ストーンプロテクター (according to google translate)

Goals

  • Uses Bizhawk 2.6.2
  • Plays Easiest Difficulty <- reason:(explained below)
  • Goes for Fastest Completion
  • Uses 1 Character in a 2 Player Game
  • Uses a Special(s) move <- reason: (literally faster)
  • Uses Japanese Version Over USA Version (explained below)
  • Movie Stops on Final Hit on Final Boss <- reason: (the game automatically will finish out to the ending sequence without required input, and will always give the same ending regardless of quickness)

Story:

  • Some girl by the name of Princess Pea- Opal gets outru- overrun by these secret underground lizard people. Opal must protect these 1 billion? ... *is that right?* probably not THAT old crystals from this lizard boss called Zok. Zok wants these crystals for total world domination or something. So Opal decides like any good "princess" to send these crystals to some rock band members who for some reason have a hard time understanding the basics of instrumental use. The band is getting booed at by the crowd when all of a sudden ... GET THIS ... the crystals come flying into the front door of the club and overtake this band called the rock protectors. These rock protectors are now transformed into something stronger than Goku. They are now referred to as the Stone Protectors.

Gameplay:

  • I will be using the Character Cornelius. Cornelius has two special moves that are very powerful and combo enemies.

Easy Mode Vs. Hard Mode (Star Ranking * Vs. *****)

  • The Game literally has the same ending, the only thing that changes is the music, but, it doesn't affect the outcome. Plus, enemies die easier, and the run isn't a boring slog to sit through.

The Special Moves:

  • Twist Me Scream
  • Microphone Mic Toss

How Special Moves are used:

  • Twist Me Scream - Cornelius shouts into his microphone saying: "TWIST ME, twist me". This special move can kill off-screen enemies and has incredible range. Most of the time I'll be extending the screen to just barely engaging the enemies to spawn, then I'll use the Twist Me Scream.
  • Microphone Mic Toss - Cornelius uses his Microphone to toss it at the incoming enemies. I'll use Microphone Mic Toss on enemies that will not die in one hit regardless. Using the Microphone Mic Toss allows me to combo the Twist Me Scream, which will cause double damage or outright kill the enemy it's aimed at.

Frames of Input on the Special Moves:

  • Twist Me Scream has an input of 5 frames sequence: UUL^R, R, L
  • Microphone Mic Toss has a 5 frame input sequence: DDD^R, LL, R

Tricks:

  • Stale Enemy Combo Hit (SECH) - refers to using both Mic Toss and Twist Me Scream 'back to back. Doing so will cause the enemies or Bosses to stand still during a Twist Me Scream.

Level Names:

  • Level 1: Snowy Village
  • Level 2: Crystal Mine
  • Level 3: Downard/Volcano
  • Level 4: Beach Party
  • Level 5: Forest of Mythradir
  • Level 6: Bizzar Bazaar
  • Level 7: Heading to the Castle
  • Level 8: In the Castle
  • Level 9: The Laboratory
  • Level 10: Throne Hall

Bosses

  • Level 1: Zink
  • Level 2: Zink's Gem Extractor
  • Level 3: Lava Boss (that's literally what the boss is named)
  • Level 4: Tackle Jackal
  • Level 5: Wraith
  • Level 6: Frank
  • Level 7: Zink Again (but stronger)
  • Level 8: Sucker Puncher
  • Level 9: Predatron
  • Level 10: Zok

Japanese Vs. USA Version:

  • The USA version is slower from my testing by 4.29 seconds
  • The Japanese version is faster from my testing by 4.29 seconds

Why Japanese is faster:

  • The intro start press is faster than the USA version, which I only questioned after I did the 19:27 time. I said: "I wonder if the Japanese Version could be faster" and thus it was.

Using Reverse Sing Sometimes?

  • Yes that would be correct, in *certain* situations, it saves time to reverse sing opposite to which you're facing, not sure why that could be, however.

Why Drag Enemies Along?

  • Sometimes enemies on certain screens can be dragged to the next screen, but, not all enemies act this way. The reason this is done is only to progress closer to the boss's screen, plus, I can kill up to 3 or 4 enemies at one time.

Glider Skip

  • Glider Skip refers to the Glider Enemy. This enemy has a special timer in which they will fly into the screen. Normally, I'd have to wait for them to fly completely into the middle of the screen, drop down, and wait for the glider to be off of the screen to start the special move animation. HOWEVER, If I time a sing right as the glider appears, the game will deload the glider enemy and I won't have to wait at all and I won't have to fight the enemy either.

Funny Visual Glitches

  • On level 7, there are planes with enemies flying above about halfway through the level. I have to wait here anyway, and as of right now there is no way that I currently know of to also skip this section. However, since I do have to wait, I can time sing and Cornelius's sprite gets broken. This is something I discovered by accident, and I laughed really hard at it for no reason.
  • On level 8, some enemies coming from the doorways can flash if I proceed through the enemies too quickly. The same can be seen with the background sprites, as they'll flash as well.

Final TAS for This Game

  • While it may come as no surprise, however, I've made about 9 iterations of these, all in all, this is what I am happy about in the end. If someone desperately wants & or needs to beat this time, please feel free to do so and make it obsolete. This is honestly the best I could muster.

Story
  • A kingdom built of crystals gets taken over by lord Zok. In an attempt to have rule over the kingdom, Zok's goal is to take all the crystals. However, in an attempt to not get taken, the crystals fly away and into a club, and they overtake a nonpopular trying rock band called the 'rock protectors'. These gems give the rock protectors special powers and turn them into troll-like superhuman creatures. The rock protectors now are referred to as the Stone Protectors *hence the crystals*

  • I will be using the Character Cornelius. Cornelius has two special moves that are very powerful and combo enemies.

  • Twist Me Scream has an input of 5 frames sequence: UUR, LL, L / UUL, RR, L
  • Microphone Mic Toss has a 5 frame input sequence: DR, DDL, R/DL, DDR, R
  • not an accurate representation of the actual input, because of layout differences, and text-based format.

Tricks:

  • Stale Enemy Combo Hit (SECH) - refers to using both Mic Toss and Twist Me Scream 'back to back. Doing so will cause the enemies or Bosses to stand still during a Twist Me Scream.

Bosses

  • Level 1: Zink
  • Level 2: Zink's Gem Extractor
  • Level 3: Lava Boss (that's literally what the boss is named)
  • Level 4: Tackle Jackle
  • Level 5: Wraith
  • Level 6: Frank
  • Level 7: Zink Again (but stronger)
  • Level 8: Sucker Puncher
  • Level 9: The Doc

Suggested Screen Shot 37,571
