The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is perhaps the most well-known game in the Zelda franchise. It was the first game in the franchise to be in 3D, and it revolutionized the idea of 3D adventure games.
The plot follows a young boy named Link, who is set on a quest to stop the evil Ganondorf from obtaining the Triforce to achieve godlike power. This eventually leads Link into traveling 7 years into the future where Ganondorf has already taken over the kingdom. With the help of his fairy companion Navi, Link must do what he can to bring down Ganondorf from power.
In this TAS by PancakeTurtle and Migu, Link collects every item, piece of equipment, quest item and Skulltula icon as well as having 20 hearts, double defense, double magic and the Giant's Wallet along with clearing 36 main heart pieces, 100 unique Gold Skulltulas and receiving the Mask of Truth from the shop without exploiting the Stale Reference Manipulation glitch (which allows for ACE), then defeats Ganon in record time.
This is the first published Ocarina of Time TAS done on the Ocarina of Time Practice ROM, which has a built-in macro playback feature, which this TAS makes use of. Footage from a real NTSC N64 was used for capturing the TAS and later encoding it. A version with audio commentary by ZFG is available right here.
Note: The run time given in the title and encodes is the TAS timing if run on emulator, with the RTA timing on emulator being around 3:01:17. On console, the total run time is 3:10:06.195 on TAS timing and 3:03:54.857 on RTA timing.
