Hello guys! After watching this interesting game for a while, I ended doing "some magic" and got some new improvements, saving 70 frames of total thanks to small timesavers and a big one in the room with bats: https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/639178574875039375 This isn't the first time I decide to collaborate improving a movie while is in the workbench. I'm pretty satisfied with the result and I contacted the author who submitted this game recently. Although I'm not a SMW TASer, I d'like to thank thegugafá for the luascript which helped me in no time :)
You are my goat, also Thank you for your collaboration :D

Assuming this romhack has an actual ending, to me this lands in playground. Another thing I noticed is input can technically be killed earlier if you do your speed preservation differently. Overall No vote, didn't enjoy this movie, mainly due to the romhack itself.
This romhack has multiple endings (Honestly, I don't know where the real ending) I picked the easiest one because these romhacks aren't simple to do

agree with somyeol, looks there a several TAS submitted by thegugafa in short period, the optimization is questionable. Speedrunners come here in tasvideos dot org to find the most optimized run and also get more information. I feel it's a bit disapointing (or insulting?) to not have both
It's because I really don't know how to explain it I'm not trying to insult anyone

You don't use ram watch for things like enemy hp or boss hp? How do you know your tas is optimized then?
I didn't go to check the enemy's HP As for the optimization I don't know how to explain in words what I did But I optimized this using only free range

in your submission you say "I used the same strategy". i'm sure what strategy you are talking about, is it same as someone else TAS? your notes are way too short in my opinion, we don't know what RAM you look or things important or unique for this game. unless you just take over someone else TAS and do one improvement/optimization?
https://tasvideos.org/10369S I used this strategy here I didn't use RAM Watch

Did you compare the damage output from the weapons in the store?
This is only for power-ups (That's what you get by killing enemies)

Why did you not buy anything from the store? Can you buy better weapons from the store? Where did the timesave over the WR come from?
It's because there's a delay in the menu When I choose the weapons (I lose 16 frames when I do this) And then I'll have to go back and press the exits button That weapons shop isn't very useful https://www.speedrun.com/lords_of_thunder/runs/y2521vjy this

voting no, from the notes it sounds like this is still work in progress (lags) and the intention was just to beat the WR without any other optimization
I've already tried to figure out how to optimize this But it didn't work

It would be nice to see some information about the tas instead of "placeholder"...
That's because I was using Walgrey's strategy Because she puts (placeholder)

While I'm trying to construct the ROM for this, I thought to ask you about the "bump" that you do at time 0:49. Is there no way to jump and slip between those block and the slope?
There's no way I can get past them I tried to find out how to optimize this, but it didn't work

There's a reason why I wrote "Even if it's 100% your own input". This submission here: #6606: Bluely's SMS Zool: Ninja of the "Nth" Dimension "game end glitch" in 00:21.61 Used all the inputs from a userfile, which too would later be submitted by the actual author. That outright plagiarized everything. You have lifted everything from Walgrey's work and passing it off as your own. Walgrey is the one who gave you the blueprint on what to do, and all you did was in realism change one slight thing. This is still Walgrey's work, not just yours and yours alone.
i see But honestly, I don't know much about working with co-authors But thank you for letting me know :D

From what I can see from the video next to each other. guga places their cursor on the queen higher, in order to get to h5 sooner. In my honest opinion. Walgrey should be co-author, otherwise this borderlines on plagiarism in my opinion. She also at least provided an explanation and movements,, of something you visibly lift and put into your version of the movie. Even if it's 100% your own input.
I kind of built it from scratch

I thought you said this uses some of f v m’y inputs. On that case, why am I not listed as an author?
I had misinterpreted and I had found some optimizations The way I did it is different from yours I was wondering if I should list you as a co-author Sorry for not speaking properly

If it involves picking the first teams that appear on the menus, let me just say that I intentionally chose the Edmonton Oilers and would prefer that team being used for the publication.

I'm curious: Did you test ways of avoiding the slowdows from "water" sections. For example, at roughly 1:14 in the YouTube encode, it looks it might be possible to go above the red walls surrounding the water. Even if it required a wall jump to get over the upper portion, I wonder if the normal horizontal speed might make up for the lost time of slower swimming speed.
You take damage for touching a red wall

I don't know if this will be useful information, but I asked a developer years ago on Twitter about why the game slows down, and I was told that it's intentionally programmed that way when a certain object threshold is reached. My guess is it was a simpler form of something like a Bullet Hell, where the game intentionally slows down during a boss or whatever else, which is why it also slows down in unwanted situations as well. Again, I have no idea if this could be useful to know at all for a TAS.
I only did it to see if there's any difference In the other one, it was 28:52, just killing all the enemies 28:48 lt was 982 lag frames When I had finished the end Without killing almost anything 28:52 It was 1358 lag frame When I had finished the end just Killing all enemies

Isn't it better to kill enemies as soon as possible to avoid lag?
I don't need to kill all the enemies That's because it was the player projects bullet It causes lag if there are many enemies I only killed a few enemiess Because there are parts that don't cause frame rate loss When you start shooting (I wanted to do this because it was going to get kind of boring)
