This would even fit into Standard by now, I think.
Yeah, I agree with the new, more relaxed rules, this run would probably fit the Standard category now. At the time of submission, the requirements were a bit tougher, so it didn’t fully qualify.
I checked side-by-side with existing runs and it is still highly optimized and remains the fastest time for this category.
What would be the proper steps to have it considered for publication under the current rules?

Things being mentioned here is enough to make us notice them, but unrejections are going slowly because there's always not enough judges to quickly handle both current and old submissions, so things have to wait until someone claims it. I'm tempted to claim it myself but then all my other TODOs that have been waiting for months or years would have to wait even longer :(
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

Thanks for the clarification!
I totally understand the backlog, judging and handling old submissions must take a lot of time and coordination.
I really appreciate you considering it, even with your current workload. If there’s anything I can provide or clarify to make the review process easier, just let me know. I’ll be glad to help however I can.
New post combining all the submissions that are still outstanding for re-judging due to rule changes. Ones "Needing Reviewing" on https://tasvideos.org/HomePages/DrD2k9/RevisitingRejectedSubmissions were rolled into here too for easy viewing in one place.
Pending re-judgment list below.
#973: CtrlAltDestroy's NES 1943: The Battle of Midway in 1:15:53.78 - There is a speedrun a minute faster, but worth checking considering they are both near 1 hour 15 minutes. Updating Rejection reason from Game Choice to Entertainment. Author wanted it to be a playaround but people overall were not entertained.
#2217: FractalFusion's GBC Backgammon in 03:06.77 - Not sure what it up with this one. Goal seems to be all over the place. The rejection reason is unusual with "Rejecting for abusive unicode in player name."? This was explained to me as just a little prank with a unicode character reversing the text read order. Which seems like an invalid reason to reject a submission.
#2515: MrOmicron's NES Mario Evolution "playaround" in 16:46.343- previously rejected by old hack choice rules. Uses a bad dump. Changed goal to playaround since that is what the author seemed to be going for. Changing Rejection reason to Entertainment. More potential rejection reasons listed in judgement notes.
#3965: c-square's NES Super Jeopardy! in 25:28.57 - This sounds like a playaround based on the description and it was rejected for entertainment reasons. Playarounds do have an entertainment requirement and this failed that. Keep Rejected.
Great work giving many of those runs second chances, CoolHandMike! It's nice to have them all collected in one list too. I keep checking back here to see your updated list.
Since you have your hands full now, can you add these to the end of the list?
#5068: FitterSpace's GC 007: Nightfire "Drake%" in 02:45.98 - A hilarious and surprising playaround with good feedback on the forums and YT. As you can't pause or complete the level after the Mission Fail glitch, you're stuck until you reset the console (softlocked) so it's the perfect ending point just after the run completes its goal (and snaps a pic for added humor).
#7408: p0008874's GB Wordle in 00:04.03 - Very short game with poor input handling. Author has requested that my userfile replace the submission, whenever it's rejudged. (I just trimmed a blank frame from the end, don't want coauthorship.)
