This thread is not for movies in Playground. Maybe a new thread could be made for those.
Ah, I forgot about that. I agree that a new thread should be made for Playground runs, but I'll leave that up to you and the rest of the staff.

Pretty optimized and interesting run. It can be published with an alternative goal #5489: Uroboros's GC Resident Evil 2 "Claire B" in 49:51.208
This would even fit into Standard by now, I think.
Yeah, I agree with the new, more relaxed rules, this run would probably fit the Standard category now. At the time of submission, the requirements were a bit tougher, so it didn’t fully qualify. I checked side-by-side with existing runs and it is still highly optimized and remains the fastest time for this category. What would be the proper steps to have it considered for publication under the current rules?

Things being mentioned here is enough to make us notice them, but unrejections are going slowly because there's always not enough judges to quickly handle both current and old submissions, so things have to wait until someone claims it. I'm tempted to claim it myself but then all my other TODOs that have been waiting for months or years would have to wait even longer :(
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

Thanks for the clarification! I totally understand the backlog, judging and handling old submissions must take a lot of time and coordination. I really appreciate you considering it, even with your current workload. If there’s anything I can provide or clarify to make the review process easier, just let me know. I’ll be glad to help however I can.

These two have been accepted. #5489: Uroboros's GC Resident Evil 2 "Claire B" in 49:51.208 - Accepted to Standard. Unique game mode. Submission is optimized. Entertainment is not a factor for this anymore. #7349: Fortranm's DS Chrono Trigger "all bosses, glitchless" in 6:23:13.961 - Accepted to Alternative for goal "all bosses, glitchless". Entertainment is not required anymore.

New post combining all the submissions that are still outstanding for re-judging due to rule changes. Ones "Needing Reviewing" on https://tasvideos.org/HomePages/DrD2k9/RevisitingRejectedSubmissions were rolled into here too for easy viewing in one place. Pending re-judgment list below.
  1. #2716: NitroGenesis's Genesis Sonic Eraser in 02:31.50 - incomplete maybe
  2. #2775: adelikat & Weirwindle's NES Battle Chess "Fastest Mate Without Cheating" in 00:44.58 - chess
  3. #2947: TheKoopaPatrol's DS Deal or No Deal "all games" in 15:39.64 - no entertainment rule anymore
  4. #3091: fsvgm777's PCECD Castlevania: Rondo of Blood "Stage X" in 00:15.78 - Looks acceptable. Timing is the same as
  5. #7278: Fortranm's PCECD Castlevania: Rondo of Blood in 00:16.10, but was done first. However 3091S was cancelled.
  6. #3543: adelikat's NES Color a Dinosaur "100%" in 07:15.12 - Dinosaurs. Edit: Is each Dinosaur actually completely colored? Put a post: Post #536927
  7. #4550: Jigwally's NES Othello in 00:26.42 - Originally rejected for entertainment and triviality. Might be same as #5935: Jigwally's NES Family Computer - Othello in 00:25.03
  8. #4626: Noxxa's NES 2-in-1 Street Dance + Hit Mouse "Street Dance, all tracks" in 57:26.31 - Originally rejected for joke
  9. #4635: slamo's DOS Commander Keen: Episode 4 - Secret of the Oracle "paddle war" in 00:01.66 - minigame?
  10. #5153: Pixiuchu's GBA Dora the Explorer: Dora's World Adventure! in 12:21.48 old triviality rules
  11. #5312: Spikestuff's GB Ichi Ni San in 00:33.54 old triviality rules
  12. #5332: SnowySideofTown's DS Victorious: Taking the Lead "100%" in 44:29.04 old triviality rules
  13. #5657: Nothembur's Genesis Super Mario Bros (Unlicensed) in 17:04.07 hack is very similar to original. Might still need to be rejected.
  14. #5907: ViGadeomes's SNES Super Caesars Palace in 00:27.29 is this complete?
  15. #5935: Jigwally's NES Family Computer - Othello in 00:25.03 - Originally rejected for entertainment and triviality. Might be same as #4550: Jigwally's NES Othello in 00:26.42
  16. #6321: Spikestuff's A2600 Bowling "perfect game" in 01:25.71 triviality
  17. #6322: Spikestuff's A2600 Skee-Ball "max score" in 00:29.24 triviality. Is this complete?
  18. #6348: link_7777's NES Stack-Up "Direct Max Points" in 01:54.31 Is this even complete?
  19. #7066: DJ_Incendration's NES Punch-Out!! no TKO in 26:01.13
  20. #7086: Dacicus's DOS Sorry Ass in 05:07.73 - originally rejected for game choice, see Post #528472
  21. #7408: p0008874's GB Wordle in 00:04.03 triviality.
  22. #7426: p0008874's Flash The Maze in 00:00.17 triviality.
Re-judged list below.
  1. #973: CtrlAltDestroy's NES 1943: The Battle of Midway in 1:15:53.78 - There is a speedrun a minute faster, but worth checking considering they are both near 1 hour 15 minutes. Updating Rejection reason from Game Choice to Entertainment. Author wanted it to be a playaround but people overall were not entertained.
  2. #1572: mr_roberts_z's N64 Super Mario 64 "Coinless-Cannonless-Capless" in 1:03:10.80 - Originally rejected for goal choice, but may still not be acceptable as apparently a current publication meets the same goal. The very high quality tas [4490] N64 Super Mario 64 "1 Key" by Tyler_Kehne, mkdasher, sonicpacker, snark, SilentSlayers, ToT, Plush, Dabs, Gaehne D, Eru, sm64expert, dar gos, Superdavo0001 & IsaacA in 04:18.983 exists and does the same thing. Agree with judge that the goal is pretty arbitrary too.
  3. #1574: MikeRS's GBC Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: 2nd Edition in 04:16.383 Aims for fastest time and entertainment is not a factor. Do a sync and optimization check. Looks possibly acceptable. Currently in the submission queue. See what happens with that one.
  4. #1600: TheRandomPie_IV's Genesis Micro Machines: Turbo Tournament '96 "Pro Head To Head" in 11:17.224 - Rejected for game choice which is probably fine now. Looks like it was also partially rejected based on entertainment. Accepted to Standard.
  5. #2217: FractalFusion's GBC Backgammon in 03:06.77 - Not sure what it up with this one. Goal seems to be all over the place. The rejection reason is unusual with "Rejecting for abusive unicode in player name."? This was explained to me as just a little prank with a unicode character reversing the text read order. Which seems like an invalid reason to reject a submission.
  6. #2269: nineko's Arcade OverTop in 05:14.90 Rejected based on game choice which looks acceptable now. https://www.speedrun.com/over_top however probably unoptimized. Banned User means submission cannot be accepted.
  7. #2515: MrOmicron's NES Mario Evolution "playaround" in 16:46.343- previously rejected by old hack choice rules. Uses a bad dump. Changed goal to playaround since that is what the author seemed to be going for. Changing Rejection reason to Entertainment. More potential rejection reasons listed in judgement notes.
  8. #2601: woabclf's NES Rockman L (Last) in 26:25.117 - old hack rules. Accepted to Standard.
  9. #2603: woabclf's NES Rockman 2 Dash in 26:55.000 - old hack rules. Changing Rejection reason to Optimization.
  10. #2625: sergio89's Genesis Columns "Flash Doubles" in 00:22.92 - old hack rules. Banned User means submission cannot be accepted.
  11. #2631: Frenom's Genesis Mega Man: The Wily Wars "Rockman 1" in 20:11.300 - There is already a complete optimized tas while this only does one part. Rejecting.
  12. #2634: woabclf's NES Rockman 2 MIN in 28:03.567 - old hack rules. Accepted to Standard.
  13. #2809: Fladdermus's DS Point Blank DS "maximum score" in 05:35.840 - Rejected for Game Choice. But it really was rejected for Entertainment. Movie file also contains inputting the initials. This also syncs. Accepted to Standard.
  14. #2931: GabCM's NES Dian Shi Ma Li "PUSH START TO RICH" in 00:38.270 - Changing Rejection reason to Goal.
  15. #2976: Kaylee, MICKEY_Vis11189, Moltov, Nahoc, SilentSlayers, snark, sonicpacker & Eru's N64 Super Mario 64 "16 stars" in 13:28.400 - Originally rejected for goal choice. Accepted to Alternative for goal "16 stars".
  16. #3156: Master_of_Pigs's NES Big Nose the Caveman "maximum score" in 24:37.800 - Changing Rejection Reason to Goal
  17. #3167: Aqfaq's Genesis A Q Lián Huán Pào "Society" in 05:08.330 - Accepted to Standard.
  18. #3231: DennisBalow & ReneBalow's N64 Super Mario 74 "0 stars" in 03:58.283 - old hack rules. Accepted to Standard "0 stars".
  19. #3233: Mr_Sweed's NES Parallel Air in 02:45.517 - old hack rules. Changing Rejection reason to Optimization
  20. #3518: theenglishman's Genesis Sonic - Omochao (S1 Hack) "PURAYAROUND" in 13:56.017 - Changing Rejection reason to "Incomplete"
  21. #3586: Brandon's NES Super Mario Bros. 3 "minimum presses" in 12:42.128 Accepted to Alternative.
  22. #3810: jlun2's DS My Little Pony: Pinkie Pie's Party "100%" in 10:34.76 - Published already
  23. #3920: NitroGenesis's NES Megaman V Fly "flying hack" in 32:54.715 - April Fools hack. Video in discussion. Old hack rules. Changed Rejection reason to Optimization.
  24. #3937: DarkMoon's SNES Xka Shack Demo by Smallhacker (SMW1 Hack) "107%" in 03:29.67 - April Fools hack. No video. Old hack rules. Leaving Game Choice as Rejection reason. This is a hack that when loaded plays a low res RickRoll video only.
  25. #3965: c-square's NES Super Jeopardy! in 25:28.57 - This sounds like a playaround based on the description and it was rejected for entertainment reasons. Playarounds do have an entertainment requirement and this failed that. Keep Rejected.
  26. #4079: MarbleousDave's NES Wheel of Fortune in 02:21.57 - User is banned which means cannot be accepted.
  27. #4551: Jigwally's GBC Scrabble "Novice" in 00:15.387 - Accepted to Standard.
  28. #4628: Dessyreqt's SNES Super Metroid: HISHE in 03:43.781 - Originally rejected for game choice. Accepted to Standard.
  29. #4655: jlun2's DS Jenga World Tour in 02:38.526 originally rejected on triviality. Accepted to Standard.
  30. #4967: MarbleousDave's NES Top Gun: The Second Mission "VS. CPU" in 05:59.51 - originally rejected based on triviality. User is banned which means cannot be accepted.
  31. #5068: FitterSpace's GC 007: Nightfire "Drake%" in 02:45.98 Leaving Rejection Reason as Joke. Since it is a joke. This is also Incomplete.
  32. #6319: Darkdevil's SNES 2 Player Co-op Quest! "small only, all normal levels" in 04:21.902 - Originally rejected for game choice. Changed Rejection reason to Optimization
  33. #6337: Asumeh's SNES MARIO in 03:53.382 Is this even complete? Gameplay looks ok, is this optimized? Accepted to Standard.
  34. #6344: theenglishman's DS Spanish for Everyone! "completo%" in 14:20.661 Changing Rejection Reason to Goal.
  35. #6351: arkiandruski's DS Elite Beat Agents "minimum score" in 1:00:52.988 - originally rejected for triviality? Accepted to Alternative.
  36. #6742: McHazard's NES Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! (USA) "clock stop glitch" in 18:52.918 - originally rejected for entertainment, and too similar to existing branches. Accepting to Alternative for the goal of "clock stop glitch" |
  37. #6901: arukAdo & EZGames69's Saturn Castlevania: Symphony of the Night in 10:11.80 - Originally rejected for arbitrary goal choice. This judgement seems good. Leaving this rejected.
  38. #7260: SMBistic & Arbono's NES Super Mario Bros. - Two Players Hack in 04:54.715 - Accepted to Standard

It appears that Sergio was banned not long after they submitted that run. Runs by banned users are not acceptable.

Great work giving many of those runs second chances, CoolHandMike! It's nice to have them all collected in one list too. I keep checking back here to see your updated list. Since you have your hands full now, can you add these to the end of the list?
  1. #2217: FractalFusion's GBC Backgammon in 03:06.77 - Tongue-in-cheek rejection due to an easily- (and already) fixed Unicode prank, but the TAS seems serious. Encode here.
  2. #5068: FitterSpace's GC 007: Nightfire "Drake%" in 02:45.98 - A hilarious and surprising playaround with good feedback on the forums and YT. As you can't pause or complete the level after the Mission Fail glitch, you're stuck until you reset the console (softlocked) so it's the perfect ending point just after the run completes its goal (and snaps a pic for added humor).
  3. #6344: theenglishman's DS Spanish for Everyone! "completo%" in 14:20.661 - Seems to have a lot of work put into quickly solving the word searches. Cutscenes are left in as a speed/entertainment tradeoff.
  4. #7408: p0008874's GB Wordle in 00:04.03 - Very short game with poor input handling. Author has requested that my userfile replace the submission, whenever it's rejudged. (I just trimmed a blank frame from the end, don't want coauthorship.)
