About Me
My real name is Corey (yep, Corey Burton - just like my extremely imaginative username implies). I'm from Australia and I'm a Publisher here at TASVideos. Right now, that introduction is terrible, but I'll hopefully expand upon it in the future, along with adding a bunch of guides related to emulation, encoding and various other tips and tricks - but it'll be some time before I get my ideas sorted and the chance to write everything out.
Encoding Method
With all of my encodes, I follow a pretty strict archiving practice. For each encode I do, I locally store the standard MKV and MP4 downloads for the website, the HD stream for Youtube, and extra encodes available at varying multiples of the console's internal resolution (with the NTSC SNES for example, I have extra encodes at 448p (2x), 672p (3x) and 896p (4x)). These are all stored locally on my HDDs and are available upon request. This applies to all of my encodes as of September 2017. Encodes prior to that date are also available, but in order to conform to the same standards and achieve the same setup they had to be redone - therefore the content may vary from the original publication slightly. I also store screenshots and custom MKV encodes done for my own personal viewing.
Youtube Channel
I have a Youtube Channel. Currently it's blank - but soon all of my encodes that are available here will also be available there. There will also be some additional videos on my channel, including encodes I've done for already published runs, obsoleted runs and even in certain cases rejected submissions I've taken a liking to.

It's also worth noting that some emulators (such as Dolphin) have greatly changed their method of dumping over time. Whilst I can encode with the older versions and the AVSync builds and the newer builds with ffmpeg dumping, there are some specific revisions in the 4 series that I'm unable to dump from properly thanks to an incompatibility with VFW. Luckily, these revisions shouldn't be used in submissions any more, but it's a good example to show how a small portion of revisions of certain emulators may lead to problems dumping.

Please note that in some cases my encodes may not be the ones originally used for publication (instead being a replacement of either all - or just some - of the existing encodes, created with new knowledge of a particular fix or update not present in the original). Similarly, some of my encodes may have since been replaced with newer encodes by other encoders, publishers or staff for similar reasons.
Additional higher resolution videos are available to download for all of my published encodes and can be found in the appropriate movie's discussion thread. This excludes cases where my encodes were not the ones originally used for publication and only some (not all) of the encodes have been replaced. In such cases the additional resolution clips are uploaded only when requested by another user.

Nester, once the mascot of Nintendo Power, and his sister Hester have decided to star in a bowling game
As with every other bowling game in existence, you roll a ball down an alley in an attempt to knock down 10 pins. To do this in this game, you have to try and match up two gauges: Spin and Power. The Spin gauge determines how far left or right the ball will go, and the Power gauge determines how hard your character throws the ball.

Banjo-Kazooie stars the bear-bird team of Banjo and Kazooie, who are searching for Jiggies, or Jigsaw puzzle pieces, to unlock doors and save Banjo's sister from a rhyming witch. Even though Banjo's name is first, Kazooie ends up doing most of the heavy lifting as new skills are developed.
In this run, Hyperresonance collects all 100 Jiggies hidden throughout the game.
This is an improvement of 24:40.71 over the previous movie. This was possible with overwhelming route changes (and much better route planning ahead), a myriad of new glitches and tricks, and much more optimized movement. This movie loses some time to loading zones on BizHawk vs Mupen (about 2 minutes), so the final time is not quite indicative of how good the run is. With console like loading zones, this would be a 1:57.

Spider-Man is the first 3D game to star the popular web-slinger. It is loosely based on Spider-Man: The Animated Series and Spider-Man Unlimited and features some of the voice cast from each and similar character designs.
Peter Parker is attending a demonstration of the reformed Dr. Otto Octavius's new invention when an imposter Spider-Man steals the device. Spider-Man must work to clear his name and uncover the sinister motives behind the device's theft.
Using various techniques, most prominently out of bound clips, arandomgameTASer swings his webs and beats the game in record time.
Additionally, this run is an improvement over arandomgameTASer's previous attempt at this game, and is 02:18.42 shorter due to more optimization and the use of a new glitch.

Muramasa: The Demon Blade is a trip through 16th century Japan with cool music, beautiful visuals and fast paced gameplay. Watch as the authors introduce you to Momohime, a young princess possessed by an evil spirit who proves quite adept at cutting everything in her path into tiny bits. As opposed to the previous run this one no longer plays on post-completion Shiguri difficulty, saving nine seconds by avoiding the intro sequence that comes with it.

Donkey Kong 64 is similar to Rareware's other Nintendo 64 platformer series, Banjo-Kazooie, but stars Donkey Kong and his friends from the Donkey Kong Country games. Several new features have been added to the game, like 3D graphics and the ability to change between different characters with different weapons and abilities.
In this run, RingRush uses glitches to skip a vast majority of the game and beat K. Rool in record time.
Due to differences between versions of the game, different timing methods, and the fact that RTA runs start with some features already unlocked, this run is slower than the RTA equivalent.

F-Zero is a futuristic racing video game developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo for the SNES in 1990.
The game is normally played with through one of three leagues, known as Knight, Queen, and King leagues. This TAS features the first league. We also have a Queen League run.

Super Smash Bros. began a series of games that mixes characters from several Nintendo-made games into a unique fighting game. It relies not on wearing down the opponent's "life" but increasing damage until he or she can be literally knocked off the stage. Wildly popular, this game has inspired many lazy days of casual multiplayer gaming but also intense competitive tournaments that happen to this day.
In this run, Isotarge & Mittenz team up and tackle the two timed bonus games with all unlockable characters.
Due to regional differences between releases of this game, the authors ran through both the Japanese and North American games. Ultimately, the Japanese version was deemed faster and published, but the North American run is available too. See the submission thread for more details, and for higher resolution encodes.

Paper Mario, first released in Japan in August of 2000, is a role-playing game for the Nintendo 64. Bowser has kidnapped Princess Peach and stolen the Star Rod, which allows him to grant himself any wish. To counteract the power of the Star Rod, Mario must locate the seven Star Spirits, who can combine their power to stop Bowser's evil plans.
Malleoz aims to collect all the star spirit cards by heavily manipulating luck and impressively abusing programming errors and loading zones, making this run a whirlwind of entertainment and speed. For a detailed explanation of the tricks used in this run, see the author's submission notes.

The film Platoon featured a squad of five soldiers on their mission for the US Army in Vietnam. In this action game based around the film, you take control of these five guys in turn, with the chance to switch between them as they each take one of the 3 hits that would kill them.
In this run, the author easily navigates the game's maze-like maps in under 8 minutes, obsoleting the previous run by 00:49.15 seconds thanks to a faster route and better movement techniques.

Super Mario 64: The Green Stars is a Super Mario 64 rom hack made by Kampel, released in August 2013. Also listed under "hacking" in the credits are Kaze, Frauber and VL-Tone.
The hack has a number of differences compared to the original game, such as an increased count of 130 stars, harder level design, and (as the title implies) green stars. The game is intended as a fan-made sequel to Super Mario 64, and is often praised for feeling very similar to the original game.
The trio of authors power through the hack with incredible speed, showcasing the various levels and landscapes, abusing the game's programming errors, and collecting all 130 stars in under 100 minutes.

Target Earth is a space shooting game set in the future with Earth under attack by robots. The player takes control of a robotic mech to fight off enemies and reach the end of the level.
Ultimately, the author proves an army of robots is not only no match for the player, but also that they're not even able to slow him down.

Track & Field is an arcade sports game that allows the player to perform events based on the 1984 Summer Olympic Games. Events include the 100 meter dash, the hammer throw, the javelin throw, the long jump, the high jump and the 110 meter hurdles.
In this run, the author's tool-assisted advantage helps him finish first and break a few "world records" while he's at it!
