Double Dare is closely based on an old Nickelodeon children's game show. To win, each team must answer a few of the trivia questions before time runs out. If the team answering thinks the other team might not know the answer, they can "dare" the other team to answer the question for double the points. However, the other team has the option to "double dare" them right back for a chance to win quadruple the points. The winning team gets to race through the Double Dare obstacle course, which features obstacles like the 1-Ton Human Hamster Wheel and a tank of Nickelodeon's iconic green slime.

The Final Fantasy Legend, known in Japan as Makai Toushi SaGa, is a video game released for the Game Boy in December 1989 by Square Co. It is the first game in the SaGa series and the first in the series for the Game Boy.
However, rather than engaging on a long quest of epic proportions, the author decides to just kick in the Japanese edition of the game and breeze through it in about a minute, thanks of the stocked meat glitch.
This run improves the predecessor movie by 00:36.78 seconds with new glitches and menuing optimizations.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III - Radical Rescue is the final Turtles game released for the Game Boy. Unlike the other Game Boy Turtles games, it isn't a sidescrolling beat 'em up game, but is actually a Metroidvania by Konami released years before Symphony of the Night. Each Turtle has a unique ability that they can perform. You start as Michaelangelo, and the goal is to rescue the 3 other turtles, Splinter, and April. To do this you must fight several D-List Turtles villains like Scratch and Dirtbag before fighting the big bad (cyber) Shredder who is guarding April.
Memory beats this game in less than 19 minutes with some luck manipulation and several exploits to avoid saving two heroes.

In this movie, the author speeds through the game, beating up all the bad guys quickly and efficiently, making full use of each character — and killing them off when they are no longer useful. The characters' special abilities are abused to provide some unorthodox shortcuts.
This is the author's 4th version and is an improvement of about 6.46 seconds over his previous movie.

Knuckles' Chaotix is a Sonic game that doesn't feature Sonic. The story follows Knuckles the Echidna as he tries to save his friends from Dr. Robotnik, one at a time, by tying an elastic band of "ring energy" between himself and each of them.
The gameplay is similar to that of earlier Sonic games, and after each stage, the next level is selected via roulette. These roulettes and the game's cutscenes comprise about 66% of the total movie length, so we recommend skipping through them.
In the site's first 32X publication, Upthorn uses a number of glitches (of which the most prominent is zipping through walls) to complete most of the levels tens of seconds faster than intended.

Shinobi 3: Return of the Ninja Master is the last game in the Genesis Shinobi series, going back to the formula found in the first game after a fairly experimental second installation. The ninja, named "Joe" like many other of Japanese ancenstry, has increased his repertoire and can now run, jumpkick, scale walls, and ride horses.
This movie plays the hardest difficulty and starts with zero shurikens (although it picks some up during the run). Uses death as a shortcut is marked because Joe has the ability to sacrifice a life to damage all enemies on the screen.

Taz, that crazy tasmanian devil, has been imprisoned on Mars and needs to spin his way to freedom.

Fatal Labyrinth is an early Genesis turn-based dungeon crawler. It consists of 30 floors/levels and a final battle.
The object of each floor is to reach the stairs that take you up to the next floor. Normally this involves lots of exploring, collecting equipment, and fighting with numerous monsters; but, this being a TAS, you don't see so much of that.

In Revenge of Shinobi, the prequel to Shinobi III, you play as a ninja (what else?) who is capable of destroying an entire army of other ninjas, soldiers, and Hollywood characters. The fast attack animation of the ninja (one of which throws fireballs everywhere) makes up for his lack of speed.
This is the author's first submission for this game, beating out two others who also had submissions.

This colorful game is based on the manga of the same name and features what appears to be a magical baby navigating through some unusual and fairly friendly looking enemies. Everything, particularly inanimate objects, has a face. The levels vary from suburbia to castles to clouds, and end with particularly unique bosses.
The main character's ability to glide sets this apart from many other platformers. The author uses this power frequently to both gain speed and to simply hover above helpless enemies.

Twinkle Tale was released exclusively in Japan by an obscure publisher. The author describes it as "what you get when you combine top down Contra stages with Kingdom Hearts." It tells the tale of Saria the magician who must stop the Demon King with what sometimes appear to be weapons from Gradius.

Ecco: The Tides of Time (1994) is the sequel to Ecco the Dolphin. It is harder than the original, and continues its bizarre science fiction plotline. You control Ecco the dolphin, navigating the waters, circumnavigating the time-stream, saving lost DNA nucleotide pairs, and finding key crystals, schools of fish and pockets of air deep down in submarine caves.
Ecco is capable of moving at very high speed but has little in the way of brakes. Turning corners without smashing into walls is tricky to say the least.

Shinobi 3 is a high class platformer with amazing graphics and sound. You control the ninja Musashi, who in this update has many new moves and abilities. He begins the game armed with 0 shurikens, but apparently someone felt the need to leave some conveniently in his way to use.
The author shows an extremely entertaining route featuring abuse of the Jump kick move, using wallkicks to fly up sheer cliffs, and even sacrificing lives to smash bosses.
During autoscroll sections Dammit is sure to entertain you by insulting the inept hordes of enemies, insulting the Genesis hardware itself in one special palette error case, and pulling some disappearing acts crazy enough to be worthy of a Ninja. He also made 2 minutes and 45 seconds of the previous run disappear in a cloud of smoke.
